Pain in Thumb

You might want to try tapeing up your thumb with sports tape, even under a glove. Also if it's possible take either a weaker or stronger grip with your left hand, so your thumb isn't right on the shaft.
secondly, you might need to get your grip visited by a pro. the club should be more in the base end of your fingers and the thumb should not be squeezing so hard. then again maybe the bone in your thumb is just a bit different.

just make sure you visit the dr & def have your grip checked out. as long as you're not being a big digger like me i hope you'll get through it. you just don't want to aggravate it to the point where you become like me and have a small tear in a ligament...that's from me overdoing it at the gym and on the course and not letting my body recover. i'm hoping it's just a recovery issue.
