We're considering (I'm being cautious so as not to promise anything, but honestly right now our PLAN is to include graphs) adding graphs to Scorecard 2.0, but frankly we're not sure which ones people would be most interested in seeing.

The graphs we'll most likely use are line graphs, with time as the bottom axis and (whatever) on the left axis.

For example, some obvious ones are:
  • Handicap
  • Driving Accuracy
  • GIR

So now the other question: what other stats would you like to see graphed (and if it's different than the "vs. time" nature of the above graphs, please specify how it's different).

This is your chance to help us make sure Scorecard 2.0 does all of what you need.

I think a graph showing putts per round would be nice so you could see how you vary from day to day.

Putts per round as an average on a line graph and puts per round on a seperate graph showing how many putts you had each round in comparsion to others.

Fairways Hit, GIR, UD's (U and S), Putts per Round. If the graph can be exported that would be great though the Print Screen Option is always Plan B if not. Will make compare/contrast of different courses, front/back nines etc. much nicer with graphs.

I'd like to see two graphs
1) Putts per round vs GIR
2) Fairways hit vs GIR

In addition to having a set of "vs. time" graphs, it would be nice (if possible) to have some "vs. score" scatter plots: GIR vs. score, putts vs. score, fairways hit vs. score, etc. Heck, you could apply the 40-30-20-10 rule and see how well that correlates with our scores just for fun.

The best thing (although I bet it would be a programmer's nightmare) would be to allow the user to select the two stats he wants to compare. (Basically, we would choose what stat to put on each axis.) You want to see if there's any correlation between fairways hit and PPMGIR? (Doubt it.) Sure, go ahead. Just some ideas.

What's in my bag:

Driver: R7 CGB Max, regular shaft
4-wood and 7-wood: :: Launcher, regular shafts
4-iron to A-wedge: X-20, regular steel shafts56- and 60-degree wedge: forged, stiff steel shafts, vintage finish, MD groovesPutter: Circa '62, No. 7, steel shaft, 35"Ball: NXT Tour or ProV1(x)...

Putts per round/Putts per hole

Will 2.0 support 9 hole rounds? That is what I hope for and want more than anything.

I think its a great initiative and would love to see the trend of puttign over time, so putts per round over time. I am not really convinced that it is posisble to graph some fo the requests on a line graph?

Ditto that.

Also nice would be the ability to adjust the timeframe or compare two timeframes. E.g., Graph fairways hit for the month of July, or compare July this year to July last year.

    • Thank you.  I'll cross it off the list since it isn't going to achieve what I want.
    • While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.  Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean. If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).
    • Answering that properly would land me in hot water, so I'm not going to. I don't think that many people would do that. I think that in certain circumstances many people would be willing to overlook someone doing that. But I was really referring to what I assumed was Tiger's transgressions (cheating on his wife) not Phil's.
    • No! Is a large part of the human population selfish, apathetic and cuts corners in the name of self-preservation 'more than they would like to admit', yes. Degenerate, scum, etc?.. no!! Most humans/men would not grope a woman like Phil is accused of doing (I think he absolutely did). That is scum. I mean what % of men do you think would do that? Seriously??
    • I don't think that is true at all. That is off-topic here, I think.
