New Putter

Today my scotty cameron came, i opened up the box and i cant believe it. Wow, this is a beautiful putter, and ive heard nothing but good things about the camerons. On a bad note, i couldnt use it cause it was pouring and their was lightening.

I am wondering what is the best putter you have ever owned or wish you could own, and please reply with a model or any additional comments. Just by first impression, this cameron, which is my first nice putter (i had a used wilson and a used tommy armour), is staying in my bag for at least 5 years.

I've never had an expensive putter, really. The YES! Sophia that is four years old isn't bad that I'm using now.

Once I went Scotty I never looked back..but one of my fav. was the Yes! Tracy. Right now I'm using the Studio Select Newport 34/360.

I've never had a really top end putter.....I've gone through several to find the style that works best for me.


The mallet styles really suit me best.

The 2 ball that I'm using now has been a pretty decent putter.

I've been looking around recently.....entertaining the thoughts of getting a new putter once I get my woods updated.

The two that really seem to work the best for me are the Tiffany and the RedX3. I've got a 40th birthday coming up soon and may just ring it in with a nice putter.


Congrats on your nice putter. Hopefully you'll get some golf in this weekend and get a chance to try it out. Breaking in new putters is fun....way more fun to me than breaking in other clubs.

I currently own an Odyssey Dual Force Rossie 2, an Odyssey 2-Ball White Hot XG, and a Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2. I love the Scotty and as soon as it gets back from the Custom Shop, I will be selling my 2-Ball. I am keeping the Rossie, as it is my old trusty! Whenever my current gamer acts up I throw it back in the bag for a round or two. I have had it for over 10 years now and it has too much sentimental value to get rid of.
