My lowest is 26. I had 9 one-putts with 12 GIRs and shot 1 under.

This is a real sore subject with me right now. I just started keeping my stats a few months back. My average right now is 30.33. I used to think I was a better than average putter. But, that doesn't even rank on the PGA Tour. I don't three putt very often, but, far too many 2 putts! I've brought that average down practically a stroke since seeing how high I was after the first month (31.11). So, at least I'm headed in the right direction.

27 for me. Great day putting, bad day everywhere else. I think I shot a 93.

I'm betting you could hit alot more greens though.

I typically average around 30 putts per round. Not bad, but an important stat to see alongside putts is GIR. Of which I average about 6...

Of course, I can only dream of being a plus handicap...

Honestly, though, if you hit as few greens as I do, you'd definitely have one. One day of bad ballstriking combined with good chipping/putting is all it takes.

Yeah, on my home course the greens are small, so I usually have 26 to 30 putts at worst.

I had 27 putts a couple of weeks ago on my to shooting an 85 with 10 1-putts and 1 3-putts. I average about 32, would love to get down to under 30 but need to eliminate the 2-3 3-putts I average.

I think lowest putts is around the lowest 30's. Average lately is around 40. Been putting horribly as of late since half of my shots in my round are putts... Keeping my handicap from going lower.

28 is my best. Spraying it all over that day, putting was all I had going for me. Enabled me to shoot 81 on a pretty tough track.

I'm usually low to mid 30's.

Shot 77 this year with 34 putts. Had an 81 yesterday with 35 putts. Need to get the putting under control.

23 PUTTS yesterday. Yes, 23!

And that was with missing the driveable par 4 11th which I will usually one putt for a birdie. I had some plans for the evening and just couldn't get that hole in. So, I took a net par and 2 putts. Conceivably it could have been 22 putts.

That's 13 one-putts! Got up and down 6 for 6 times, 1 for 4 from the bunkers, and had 6 birdies! Unfortunately I started my round with a triple-bogey.. But, I made a vow to myself to try and eliminate that from the scorecard and did. Finished my day at 1 under.

I owe this all to Dr. Bob Rotella, and a little bit to Shindig for lending me Putting out of Your Mind . I've only got through the first four chapters, but, as my results from yesterday show, those are a great four chapters. I'm excited to get through the rest!

    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
