I practice a lot more than I play. It takes less time. I can sneak out to the range over lunch and after work.

All my practice has resulted in lowering my handicap by 9 since last summer. It was probably all that chipping practice.

The way I see it you learn to swing on the range but you learn to score on the course.

I know that my ball striking is crisper at the weekend on the courseif I get a chance to hit some balls during the week. Was playing in a tournament on Sunday and on the front 9 I had 5 GIRs with a 6th on the fringe, I hit 5/7 fairways as well. I think this was primarily due to having spent an hour practising on Saturday evening
