Hey guys, i am going to my local golf store tommorow and can't decide wether to buy the brush tees or not, do u guys think its worth it and that i should get a couple or not?

Don't waste your money. The only advantage to them is that you are able to consistently tee your ball up at a certain, predetermined height. If that height works for you great, but if it doesn't they're pointless.

IMO get zero friction or epoch tees. They last forever. I've only seen one break- and that was after something like 72 holes. Well worth the money; they're similar in price to brush tees although you get something like 50 compared to 2.

alright thanks, but two questions, what is the difference between the zero gravity and the epoch tees, and.. What makes these tees so special that they dont break??

Both ZF tees and Epoch tees are plastic, which are almost impossible to break, unless you use them for irons, then they may break quicker.

I had a huge problem getting the ball on the Zero Friction tees...always fell off. Epoch tees are nice though.

The ZF tees have 3 little prongs that extend out, and as flop said some people have trouble getting the ball on the tee. Epoch tees, IIRC are a little flatter on the top and are easier to put the ball on.

ZF tees are great.

I routinely hand them out to others when they break there wood tees

oh slright thanks guys, well i will get the epoch if he has them, but if not then i will get the ZF's cause i know he has one or the other because i remember seeing them in there last time i was looking around

i'm a fan of the epoch tees, though i did break two today (quite unusual). i've been using 3 1/4" but i'm going to go down to 2 3/4".

I broke 3 of the ZFs on Sunday. 2 with a driver and one with a iron. Its weird because I have been using them for about six months and hadnt broken any. I usually use one for the whole round and toss it after. Once you figure out how to tee up with them its no big deal.

For what it's worth, I really like the brush T. I am still learning the game so the more things I can have that are consistent (like tee height) the better. Plus they last forever. I don't use them with irons, only the driver. If you do get them, keep the little plastic case and cap that they come in for storage. It will keep the bristles straight much longer in the bag.

I never have liked plastic tees. Yes they are much more durable, but they start to bend. That can make it harder to tee up your ball, not to mention that the ZF tees are harder to tee up when straight (smaller contact area with the ball).

I prefer regular wooden tees. I get the natural colored ones because I don't like the tee leaving a paint streak on the bottom of my clubs. You can buy a bag of 200 wooden tees at Walmart for $4.

They're actually made from starch and are biodegradable if you leave them in the ground. Be careful though the prongs are sharp, I've cut my thumb on one before.

Absolutley love the ZF tees, greatest purchase i've ever made. I'd break one wood tee per tee box, it was dreadful, so for basically the same price i got the ZF tees and they work and last longer!!

I've compared them to other "game-improvement tees", and regular tees.

The only thing different from using regular tees is that you look like an ass.
