OK, No blueshit here. Let's have some real GPS verified *AVERAGE* distances.

Before my current driver I was hitting about 230-250 with a Cleveland comp 10.5 with Blue Prolaunch. The ball went up and down and stopped. Which was actually good in many fairways, but a headwind or bad hit would really make it balloon.

The new driver is a Callaway FT-i 9 degree with stock Fujika stiff. The flight is *perfect* but I'm having trouble getting it straight. (looking for a new shaft now) When it does go straight I'm hitting 250-280. I got a 325 this weekend, but there was a nice cart path scuff on the ball so I won't count it.

C'mon, tell me what I need to trade my FT-i in on!

Sumo2 5900 9.5* W/Grafalloy Red

Irons: A3OS 3-PW Graphite/Steel regularWedges: A3OS GW, SW, LWPutter: Rossa Monza SpiderLittle round white thing:

It is somewhat difficult to put an exact number on it due to my own swing inconsistentcies. I'm still getting things back under control after a long layoff period and making swing changes simultaneously.....ggrrrhhhhhh

The driver I played prior was a 300cc headed TM with a shaft that was overly stiff for me. I'm now adjusting to the 460cc head while getting used to the friendlier shaft. The new stick is more lofted as well.

When I smooth it....things happen on their own accord. The main difference being 20-30 yards of additional carry and more forgiveness on off-center hits.

I'm very pleased with the new technology....now trying to get my old body to conform.

I voted 20-20 yards. I've had my new driver for a while now, but the one before it was a nice Callaway 454 Ti with regular flex shaft. When I hit a really nice drive I'd probably hit around 270. With the new driver I noticed a significant increase in yardage...good drives now being around that 300 yard mark. Probably a variety of reasons, including moving to a stiff shaft.

These are not GPS verified by any means...don't have one of those...but I know what 30 yards looks like :p.

In my Datrek Rage bag:
Driver: Sumo 5000 w/ Aldila VS Proto Stiff
4-Wood: SasQuatch 2 w/ Diamana Stiff
Irons: AP2 4-PW w/ PX 6.0
Wedges: Zodia US Spec 52*, Yururi Gekku 57*, 588 DSG RTG+Putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Style 3.5 or Odyssey White Hot Tour #1Ball: ProV1 or whatever I find!

I'm getting about 25 xtra yards on average between my old TM 580 and the new TM Burner. Slightly longer and lighter shaft I think is what does it. Both at 10.5*

You can talk to a slice, but a hook doesn't listen.

In my bag:
14 clubs and some beer on ice...

I don't know about a new driver, but I made a little tweak in my swing about a week ago and I'm hitting maybe an extra 10-15 yards, with added consistency.
Whats in the bag:

Driver: Nike Ignite 460cc 10.5* Fujikura Ignite reg flex
Fairway woods: Howson tour master power series 3,5 woods
Irons: MacGregor M675 3-PW DG S300 Wedges: Mizuno MP-R Black Nickel 54.10, 60.05Putter: Pinfire Golf P4Ball: Titleist NXT TourHome Course:http://www.golfarmagh.co.uk/...

For me, this was the first time that I got fitted for a Driver, vs. picking one up for $10 at the local club-fitter's house (he had a barrel full of frankenstein sticks). Plus, I've invested some time and $ into more frequent practicing and playing. So for me, I went from hitting the ball with a shovel to using a Driver better suited for my swing.

Yesterday was my first time using the new Driver and Woods on a legit "real" course (vs. Par-3 where they can't be used). I'm no long-driver, but I averaged 250 yards for tee shots with the Driver, and ~230 with the 3-Wood. These are MAJOR improvements from the previous sticks.

See sig for Woods in Bag.

At the begginning of the season I had a King Cobra that was probably 200CC head, steel shaft - acient, I think ... I was hitting 200 ... maybe ... MAYBE ... I got embarrassed by one of my buddies one day, walked off the course. Went to the store and bought my TM Burner driver with the stock stiff shaft ... consistantly now hitting longer ... much longer (yesterday 475 yd. par 5 - drive was abut 5 paces inside the 200yd. fairway marker) and much straighter ... but that is also with many, many range sessions this year and many, many tweeks to the swing.
In my Bag:

Driver: Burner 10.5* Stiff shaft
3 WoodBurner 15* stiff shaft
5 WoodBurner 18* stiff ShaftHybrid3DX (18.5*)Irons: (4-LW):Putter: Rossa Indy SportBalls: Reds

I bought a Cobra L4V recently to replace my old driver that came from a garage sale and originally came from Sports Authority (the brand is Knight, whatever that means). I made this purchase shortly after getting my fist ever lesson and totally changing my swing.

I would say my "good" drives (the ones where I catch the ball solidly and hit it fairly straight) have gone from about 210 to about 280. But I have no idea how much of that came from the equipment upgrade vs. the swing improvements. I'm sure both things made a huge difference.

Snake oil!

So you voted for "straighter" then?

I went straight from beginner clubs (can't even remember what make they were!) to Callaway BBB. That was a few years ago but I'm pretty sure I gained around 30-40yrds instantly.

IM A MONSTER!

Well not me, but my driver. You see, I started with an old persimmon and now I have a 10.5 Sumo2 in my bag. That alone increased my distance, and now that I can actually consistantly drive the ball down the middle, I can honestly say I have added at least 50 yards on average.
I couldn't get the persimmon near 200 yards, now I have on occasion hit my tee shot 270+. My average is about 250 now, but I am looking to upgrade to a 9.5* driver after a new set of irons.

In my Extreme Sport II Stand Bag
Driver: Sasquatch Sumo2 10.5*
Hybrid: Slingshot Tour 3 21*
Irons: CCI Cast 4-AW
Wedges: Tour Action 588 60*Putter: White Hot XG #1Balls: ProV1 and ProV1x

I bought a new one earlier in the year thinking that I would gain something, but it didn't really help me at all. I was able to carry the ball a little further but all of the roll was lost. I think I needed a different shaft for it to help with the height and lack of roll but didn't want to put the extra money in it. I hit my old (now current again) driver so well I don't know why I even bothered trying a new one. I guess I figured with the new technology I could be longer and straighter, not the case for me. I am just going to stick with the one I have until I come across something better.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.
