I have Mizuno MP R chrome wedges and one of them needs to go. My set consists of a 52* 56* and a 60*

Which club would you guys leave out?

I would go with either the 52 and 56, or if you really like playing the 60 degree, maybe get a 54 degree wedge and play a 54 and 60, assuming your pw is 48 degrees.

To me its important to keep the club lofts evenly spaced so you don't have any big gaps in yardage.
Sure you could just swing a little harder or softer to cover it, but thats hard to repeat swing after swing.

I agree. There shouldn't be any gaps in yardage.

If I take out my 56* there would be a large gap between my 52* and 60* which wouldn't help. You guys think a gap between my PW and 56* would be fine?

I believe a PW is easier to do full swings rather than a wedge. But what do I know.

I like to play all of my wedges and I took out one of my long irons instead, but if you need to take a wedge I would take out the 60 and learn to hit your 56 the shorter distances with 1/2 & 3/4 shots.

I was thinking about it but I usually use my 60* out of the sand. This is a tougher decision than I thought.

I think you should stay with the 52° and 60°. I don't know how much yards you hit with your 52° but I believe that you get more from your 52° than the 56°, and you can always make a 3/4 or 1/2 swing and reach the distance you hit with your 56°, IMO.

I got rid of my 52, 56 and 60 wedges and went the 53 and 58 route. Lets me carry a hybrid, if I ever find one I like.

For me, 2 months ago I would have said the 60* but lately that's the club I've been using inside 50 yards; probably the 52* could be filled by the PW.

I'm going through the same process... right now I'm leaning toward taking the 60 out and getting the 56 bent to 58. That will leave me with 47, 52-10, and 58-12. I think I can live with the 1 degree difference from pw to gw. If my pw were 48 degrees, I'd probably bend the 56 to 54 and remove the 52 - leaving 48, 54, 60.

I use a 60 out of the traps. Are you comfortable opening the 56 for more loft?
If yes then take out the 60. How much difference between your 5 &6 ? the difference for me is spitting distance so I'd keep the scoring clubs and take out either the 5 or 6. getting up and down is important for us short knockers but if you can add to your 6 by drawing it or shorten your 5 by cutting it then keep the 3 wedges.
