I like how it's going so far...just not sure why Chad Campbell is up against Padraig...especially in the last match...

But, hey, maybe he'll prove me wrong!

Still a long way to go. But the course is loud, which is a good thing for the US team. Kim just played inspired golf and did everything Azinger could've asked for. Garcia was wild, and a little under the weather. So things are going solidly so far.

For the Europeans, this Ryder Cup was a match of complete surprises, The 'big guns' were expected to perform while the likes of Wilson, Poulter and their ilk were predicted to fail..... when in fact it was the complete opposites, imo Faldo's choices throughout the Cup should have been vindicated while the performances of big name players has been shameful.

You are right, and I believe the Weekley vs. Wilson match will be very important for both Captains and both teams. If Boo wins, the crowd will get all fired up. He has shown good composure under pressure before in winning back to back at the Harbour Town Golf Links, but the Ryder Cup is a true test of performance in the pressure cooker. It will be interesting to see how that match goes.

Boy, did I call that right, or what? After Phil and Justin Leonard lost their matches, it was important for Boo to win,and did he EVER-----30 on the front nine, and got the crowd fired up!! Congratulations to him on a great rookie showing in the Ryder Cup!!

    • Jack's total output is way ahead.  Jack third and 1st in strokes gained at age 43 and 44.  If this were debated like baseball no one would think Tiger is the GOAT.  When I looked up Jack's 83 and 84 strokes gained,  he had 14 top 10s in 28 events in just those two years he was "non-existent". (And he had 15 the two years before that and won two majors three years before)  I was curious to see how many top 10s Tiger has had since 2014.  He has had 13 top 10s in a decade.
    • Listen, you are going to spin what ever you want to fit your opinion. Facts are facts. In the end, Tiger's career is 28 years and counting. In that career, he had more dominant years than Jack. More wins than Jack. More weeks at #1 (DOMINANCE). More money list victories. Longest streak of cuts made. That is with a handful of seasons lost to injury. Which makes it even more impressive. Lower scoring average.  Here are some absurd stats. Sorry, I do not think Jack was doing this sort of stuff.  This.. Maybe Tom Watson is better than Jack? This...
    • I am killing brain cells by thinking about this and responding but I looked up the data out of curiosity. Jack was third in True Strokes Gained in 1983 and 1st in the world  in 1984. I would say that qualifies as existence.  Jack did have a big drop off after age 44. But Tiger had a big drop after age 32 with a sporadic handful of good years after that time. Jack was in the McCormack top 10 to age 44. Tiger was ranked like 1400th in the world in his mid 30s. The chart you put up is a chart of nothing. Tiger has more wins. No one is debating that.   There is a big difference between not winning on tour and not making cuts in majors and not winning but finishing second in majors.
    • Day 306: played 18 again. Not a good round. Mostly issues with approach shots, but also not great short game.
    • What you’re describing here is a classic ballstriking drill to promote shaft lean and eliminate flipping.
