Well thought I would be heading out in August, but the granddaughter was a little late.

Flying in on Saturday and out on the first of October.

Any weather reports to see if Golf is an option?

Cimmarone Golf Club is a nice course south of Jax.

Temps in the 60s with no rain by the forecast. I played this evening and the weather was nice and breezy. Gentle winds. It is the best time to play. 2 weeks ago we were in the high humid 90s or had thunderstorms.

Thanks for the weather update. I am used to 335 days of sunshine each year here in Colorado.

Of course we do have a little ice and snow at times.

Go a little south and get on to Sawgrass in Pontre Vedra beach. It's on A1 and the drive to it is beautiful..along the Atlantic Ocean. TPC Sawgrass and visit the 17th hole and report back on your progress. It's a beautiful course.

      Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

      Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.

      I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
