Iron Set

I'm thinking about investing my birthday money in some irons. I've been checking out eBay, and I've noticed some pretty good irons for a very reasonable price. I'm a "mid" handicap, and I'm definitely not even close to looking at blades. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Mp-57's or Cobra FP's. I play the FP's and love them. You could probably get a mint condition 2007 FP set for like $200.

I forgot to mention this but I don't have a huge budget. Around $250 is about the highest that I can go.

TaylorMAde RAC OS2's are great clubs in your price range as well.....hard to find though.

I was doing some research, and I've figured out that I should go with Mizuno irons. I probably will. Of course they aren't going to be anything too special (i.e blades), but I've really been looking into the MX-11s. Are there any opinions on these clubs?

Just a word of warning about buying golf clubs on Ebay. Be VERY CAREFULL as there are lots of FAKES being passed off and sold as originals. Buy from reputable ebayers with good feedback and maybe an online store presence.

Within your budget I would consider the RAC OS Good Luck.

Have you considered the Adams Idea set? I have several friends that swing them and they swear by them, one buddy is a 5 handicap and still prefers them to anything else he has tried. They are budget friendly as well! Good Luck!

i see the OP uses clones. what's the difference between a fake and a clone?

I would say a clone is like instead of Big Bertha, you have a Big Brother, which looks like a Big Bertha, or whatever. A fake would say Big Bertha (but really not be one but look very close to one). Just my guess.
