Last I checked we were talking about nike woods not irons or wedges. Recent ones, not the ignite. All SQs have the silver half-moon on the back (not traditional), and last years model sounds like an aluminum baseball bat. Also, a review of something is someone's OPINION of it, not a definiton. Just how good are nike fairway woods? My review is that they suck. My opinion is that they suck. They are the same thing. I am just one person, and you may disagree with my review, but it is still a review. Golf Digest reviewed the titleist 906 as the top fairway wood. That was their review, that doesn't mean everyone needs to go buy a titleist wood, it is an opinion whose purpose is to guide someone that is looking for help.

But if you read the GD review then you will see that they say "this club has a high trajectory, with lots of spin," not this company sucks, and this company is better.

And if your opinion is that Nike clubs suck that's fine, but that doesn't mean you try to pass it as a fact, and tell someone that low handicappers shouldn't use them. And if you are going to talk about what this thread is about then I could rightly say that this thread is about Nike fairway woods, not drivers, and not Titleist clubs.

Here's what I play:

Okay I already explained about the tour players and Tiger so open your eyes. They get paid to play them just like callaway and titleist sponsored pros do. You can't look at what tour players play for this kind of question because we are talking about an unsponsored 3.9 handicap. As for the twinkies comment, grow up, no one should base what they play on what others play (like no one should go buy nike clubs because tiger plays them). My point about the golf team was that they are low handicappers that don't have Nike woods. I don't know many low handicappers with nike woods, that is just my experience. My opinion on nike clubs is just my opinion. You completely missed the point of all of my posts. Maybe you didn't think about this very much?

Not so fast. That article rated the titleist 906F2 the top fairway wood of 2007 for low handicappers seeking shot shaping capabilities, it warned high handicappers, people with sub-average swing speeds and those with ball striking issues to stay away. Just to clarify the above error. Also I would hardly call a statement of "It sucks" a comprehensive review or anything that resembles an educated opinion, it's more along the line of an immature 16 year old with poor vocabulary skills whom can not articulate their true feelings through English language (This is obvious to me since one of your posts has been edited by an Admin already). My suggestion would be in the future to list evidence and use sound reasoning so that there is a totality of the circumstances that people can see leads you to your opinion of it sucks, otherwise you just come off as background noise not worth paying attention to.

My opinion on nike clubs is just my opinion. You completely missed the point of all of my posts. Maybe you didn't think about this very much?

Knock it off. Nike clubs - as with virtually all other clubs - fit and work for at least some people, and you can't run around saying inflammatory things as you've been doing and then claiming "it's just my opinion" and insulting other members.

You've already lost four reputation points and I suspect you'll keep losing more if this is the attitude you want to take on this site. And stop putting the contents of your bag in below your posts. That's what the signature is for.

Reputation points? Lol you kids take this stuff pretty seriously. I haven't insulted anyone unless you're all nike reps or something. We are simply having an interesting friendly argument. I've just been burning a sick day doing this, so I'm sorry if I didn't know that everyone has to agree with everyone on this site. You all clearly don't know what an opinion is or understand that you can ignore it if you don't like it. I wouldn't be crying if one of you said titleist wasn't quality.

Dude just give up, 3 or 4 people have said that you were wrong to come out and say what you said, it was not a review, and you did not state that it was your opinion until almost the very end. Everyone does not have to agree with everyone, but people here post reasonable posts, and if they are wrong, most will accept the fact, not start changing that they were saying in order to save their ego. And for the people who do exactly what you do, if they do not stop they generally get banned because there is no need for these kind ot posts and arguments on this site. And no one was crying, they were just trying to show you that saying one company sucks, this company is better is down right ludicrous.

I'm sticking to my guns, but I'm going to argue this no further. I think nike makes poor fairway woods especially for low handicappers, you all disagree. We will agree to disagree.

I play with a pro that only plays Nike.

It is not due to any sponsorship since where he works is a Titleist exclusive account.

I still love this, as Tiger contract lets him play whatever he wants, and what fairways does he play? Thats what i thought. BTW your not sticking to your guns, your just being ignorant.

    • Thanks for the comments. I fully understand that these changes won't make any big difference compared to getting a flawless swing but looking to give myself the best chance of success at where I am and hopefully lessons will improve the swing along the way. Can these changes make minor improvements to ball striking and misses then that's fine. From what I understood about changing the grips, which is to avoid them slipping in warm and humid conditions, is that it will affect the swing weight since midsize are heavier than regular and so therefore adding weight to the club head would be required to avoid a change of feel in the club compared to before?
    • I think part of it is there hasn't been enough conclusive studies specific to golf regarding block studies. Maybe the full swing, you can't study it because it is too complicated and to some degree it will fall into variable or random.
    • Going one step stiffer in the golf shaft, of the same make and model will have minor impact on the launch conditions. It can matter, it is a way to dial in some launch conditions if you are a few hundred RPM off or the angle isn't there. Same with moving weights around. A clubhead weights 200-220 grams. You are shifting a fraction of that to move the CG slightly. It can matter, again its more about fine tuning. As for grip size, this is more personal preference. Grip size doesn't have any impact on the swing out of personal preference.  You are going to spend hundreds of dollars for fine tuning. Which if you want, go for it. I am not sure what your level of play is, or what your goals in golf are.  In the end, the golf swing matters more than the equipment. If you want to go to that level of detail, go find a good golf club fitter. ChatGPT is going to surface scan reddit, golfwrx, and other popular websites for the answers. Basically, it is all opinionated gibberish at this point.

    • Well the first advice I would give is to look at your swing. If you are swing out to in, it may be difficult to fix your misses with club adjustments. They would only be a bandaid. I use midsize grips because I have long fingers and I feel I have more control with them. I also have tinkered with shaft length and swing weight. But I know when I miss it’s because my swing was off.
