Hi,

I have played DG S300's for the past 6-7 (maybe 8...) seasons. I know no different. I guess my game has grown with them! I have heard of great things (from club pros, store/sales reps etc) about the project x's (and even from Nippon). But I haven't tried fitting them to one of my sets. I have only hit them at demo's and they seem a great shaft. My brother has 6.0's in his Pings, and he loves them. I guess im just happy with my current set-up etc.

I play dynamic gold, what reason, they were in the irons when i bought them,to me i think shaft is not that big of an issue as long as the flex is right.

Project X 6.0. I bought my new set with the px shafts because I heard so many good things. I'm definitely hitting more consistent iron shots, that's for sure. I haven't hit a push shot to the right since changing to this set.(knock on wood) But I can't say that it's ONLY because of the shaft.

The difference between Dg's & Px's is the way they create their flex.

Dg's create stiffer shafts with weight & Px's create stiffness with the metal at the top having very high resistance & lower resistance at the bottom of the shaft thus the flex. The only major difference between the two is weight, although i hit the px's longer i hit the dg's striaghter, i think because of the heavier weight slowing my swing speed & giving me abit more control.

In the end it comes down to preferance

DGS300 for me. PX shafts I've tried are too boardy for me - I just don't like the feel. I like the standard Rifle Flighted shafts though...
