I dunno, for some reason whenever I putt with a blade putter, I have trouble aiming. Thats why I play mallets.

I grew up using mallets and always liked them. After buying a Ping Pal 4 I never went back. I just love the way it feels.

i game with my blade putter, but during practice rounds i often carry a mallet putter. the reason for this is because the mallet promotes a straight back and forth stroke which helps me put better. i sink more putts and line them up better with my blade that is why i game with a blade.

I play with a blade but I'm considering getting a mallet. I like the look of blades more but I'm having trouble with the straight back and through swing path that I prefer with the putter I'm using. I'm thinking about getting a Yes! Valerie, I like the feel of it and it's a bit less "obnoxious" than other mallets that are out there.

I've used blade for 17 years but switched to mallet this year.
Mallet one gives me more consistency. I guess, since I can feel the pendulum movement, backstroke and forward-stroke gets more consistent. BUT.... Blade putter gives more crisp feels when it gets on impact. I don't know how I can describe it... it's like feel difference between hitting a ball with pure forged blade iron vs. cavity back iron?

The mallet because of it's higher MOI and the fact that it better helps develop a pendulum stroke, which i feel is a more consistent method.

Mallets to me are more stable, and help my alignment.

Blade. I just do not like the look of any mallet. I prefer the look and feel of a blade. I can generally hit a pretty consistent putt in the middle of the face, so the high MOI of mallets isn't going to outweigh the look of them for me.

Mallet. I prefer the heavier feel of mallet. Makes it harder to manipulate it with your hands.

Neither.... Mine doesn't fit either category... or maybe it fits both. Hard to say. It works, and works well, and that's enough enough for me.

Mallet. I think they are ugly as sin, but I putt a lot better with a mallet than a blade. Thinking of trying an old vintage Anser . . . no muss, no fuss old-school putter.
