Is the Bobby Jones Pelz wedge legal for play by USGA rules? I have not hurd anything but the way that face is seems like it could have some rules issues. You ever see the ones in stores like wal mart that say they can't be used because they create more spin. I was wondering if that could be the case with these.

I saw them once at a demo day more than half a year ago. I don't know anything about them, but I would be

very surprised if Pelz (or the Bobby Jones company, for that matter) put his name on something that is illegal under the current rules.

Jesse only sells legal clubs.

It's a great club if you like a wedge with a rounded profile and a little more heft -- which helps with partial shots -- it's a very accurate club with great feel for a cast -- due to the 3M insert behind the face. He is introducing a 48 to go with the 52, 56, 60 and 64 lofts - he has a standard bounce option and a low bounce option.

I'm pretty sure it's legal under USGA rules. The face insert is a really cool concept though as it increases the lifespan of the grooves.
