Was putting around at golf town the other day. I found I enjoed them. Anyone else try them out yet? Got an oppinion?

Irons Taylromade r7 Steel shaftCallaway X 60 degree wedge MD groovesPutter Scotty Cameron Newport

they arent the most conventional head shapes, but they feel like butter and have pretty good swing weight and consistancy, i almost bought one myself but i chose my cleveland over it.

In my Diablo Edge Tour/ Titliest Stand Bag:
Driver: Nike VR Pro 8.5* w/ Myazaki 43g X
3 Wood: Nike VR Pro II 13.5* w/ Diamana Whiteboard 83g X
5 Wood: Cobra S9-1 Pro 18* w/ Diamana Whiteboard 83g X

Hybrid: Mizuno MP Fli-Hi 21* w/ Prolaunch Red X
Irons: 4-7 Titleist 712 CB, 8-9 712 MB w/ TT Dynamic Gold X100

Wedges: 46* Vokey SM4, 54* Vokey SM4, 60* TMade ATV

Putter: Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Belly 43"

I tried the Oz T130 mallet which is what Michelle Wie tried, initially.

The clear handle didn't stay clear with more and more use. Aiming was easy based upon its design. Since I was still experimenting with my putting stroke, I had a different method of address and stroking the putter.

I did not like how it set up on address if I soled the putter.

The feel was solid and it gave a slight metallic sound with contact.

If it weren't for the feel at set up I would still have it. Since then, I have switched to various different styles but I settled down with the Bullseye blade.

    • Day 167 - 2025-03-16 Hit balls after a long day. Junior Elite and a few lessons. Meh.
    • It kinda is… and Tiger isn't super young anymore. You're missing the fact that Tiger changed the game. Golfers put far more strain and stress on their bodies now than they did fifty freaking years ago. The sport is different now. It's faster, and you have to be significantly better now to even make it to the PGA Tour let alone stay there than you did in Jack's day.
    • Well, at least it got fixed & you’ll be back nonetheless.
    • Day 5 March 16th, 2025 Went to the range for about an hour. Worked on backswing and downswing piece. Finally got to making shorter backswings. Feeling like the swing stops when hips get to hip height. That is more of a feeling for how much the hands move, the hands get closer to A3-A3.5.
    • Seems like Jack was pretty "old" when he won his last Masters. And Gary Player is still playing, despite being a fitness freak all his life. Years ago, Cary Middlecoff stated that Tiger was going to have back problems after he reached the age of 30, due to the body torque he used in his swing. But Tiger has also had plenty of issues with the rest of his body. And the car crash certainly didn't help. Has any golfer been as "injury prone" as Tiger?
