I don't get why you would ask us.... you're the one who's going to be using it.

We can't tell if it feels good to you.... only you can do that.

I like the built quality and feel of the Scotty Cameron but I putt better with the Never Compromise mallet putter, I had 24 putts in my last round with the Never Compromise.

Love the Scotty Red X 5....very sweet on alignment, condusive to a nice forward press and the feel is sublime.

Wonderful mallet. Scotty did well with this one.

I fell hard for the Red X3...my intitial draw into the Scotty putters. My stroke evolved a bit and led me to my current wand. Had I started with a Red X5, with the plumbers neck, I may have stayed with that putter as it would fit my stroke and set up nicely....slightly open-square-slightly closed / natural arc, with a slight forward press.

Ask "Todd" on here.....I believe he just added one to his bag. I haven't had a chance to talk with him and see how it's working for him.

I think $300 is too much for a putter.

Not disagreeing with you....it is a heap of money......however, look at the number of players who will shell it out for a new driver ever season or two.

$300 for a club that you'll hit ten times a round vs. $300 for one that you'll use twice a hole????? That sales pitch worked on me at least.

The numbers just don't work for me. A modern driver is a product of complex, high tech engineering. A putter by comparison, is a simple product of imagination and machine shop time. I could go into a decently equipped machine shop and make a copy of virtually any putter I've ever seen. Not so with a driver, which takes very specialized engineering, design and manufacturing techniques to work with the titanium, steel and exotic composites used today.

The value just isn't there in a putter like it is in a driver.

    • Day 12: did the yardstick putting drill for a bit while watching tv.
    • Hole 6, 185 uphill par 3, wind out of the right. I hit a 7 iron to 5-FT left of the pin. The ball landed about 185.5 yards. I drained the putt for a birdie, and most likely a skin.  2nd place is more of a best swing made. 110 yard wedge shot, where I did what I wanted in the back swing and downswing.  I hit a 75% partial wedge 95%. It was flushed, flighted, and beautiful to watch fly over the green. 🤣. I will need to redial in the wedges sometime. Since I am making an effort to make my former 3/4 swing length my full swing length.
    • Is that like "the longest yardstick you can find"? I don't have Airtags but I'd call all of them Airtags too.!
    • Yea, that makes sense.  I remember an Open tournament when they brought out the wind meter one day because balls were being blown around the green. I think it was 45+ sustained, which probably means 60 mph gusts.  I think for the most part, it isn't something that needs to be taken into account.  Also, a golf ball is designed to optimally move through the air. It has better aerodynamics than a sphere.  Thanks for your expertise on this. That makes sense. I know about how wind diminishes the lower in height you go. I didn't know it went near zero at the ground. I deal more with tall structures (utility poles), and we have to take into account height and impacts of wind on the pole. A bit of experience, but wasn't sure how close to zero, non-impactful it was on the golf ball on the ground.
    • Day 2 (7 Aug 25) - More work on tempo with mid-irons, moved to wedges for the balance of the drill.
