OK, I have been playing with my Answer2 for years. I want to try a new putter but I need your opinions. The reason I need your opinions on how different putters feel is because I am left handed and every single golf store in the US decides left handed golfers are red headed step children. Anyway I am looking at 3 different putters, going on looks alone. I just want you to tell me how they feel and or how they compared to other or previous putters you have used.

PS. Please don't tell me to go hit them for myself because stores just don't stock left handed putters and will not order one just so I can test it out. Also please don't tell me to get a Scotty. I have bought 2 of them and both ended up on ebay a month later.

The 3 I am interested in are:

Rife Aussie Tour Edition.
Nike Unitized Tiempo.
Bettinardi C-03.

Thank you for the time responding to my post

Rife I have one and they feel great and really helped my putting with the roll groove technology.

If you want to find out how they feel, you could have a few putts with a right handed putter. I would think you'd be able to get enough of a gauge on whether it jumps off, is spongy, etc. You should also have a couple of putts with the type of ball you usually put into play. Even if that means taking an old ball along to the shop. Having said that, I think it's hard to advise people on how something feels, everyone swings differently and what I like others wouldn't. My friend loves the Odyssey XG face, he thinks it's firm, I think it's too soft. So my advice is try a right handed version and see if that helps narrow it down at least.

Pherg, in all these years I never thought of doing that. Makes sense to me just so I can get a gauge on how the ball rolls off the face.

Really? That's cool, because I was looking to maybe getting a Tiempo, or a Retro in a couple weeks.

Maybe that will work for you but it's totally different for me, even from a feel standpoint. My right side pulls my stroke through (or at least that's how I think about it, really everything moves together) and when I turn this around I have a couple of problems: left side is stronger so if it does drive the stroke everything feels "off" and I've worked to make the right side used to leading so to speak (VERY left handed here) so if it's not then everything feels "off".

End result for me putting opposite handed is everything feels off. Mechanically I can replicate my stroke and I putt pretty well opposite handed, but nothing feels right. I like my unitized Leo. Stripped all the goofy white and yellow paint and removed the loud yellow shaft-band made it look really good. Haven't been playing long and I was having "feel" issues for distance and just my stroke in general so I put a Ping-man grip on and started taking my glove off to putt; best thing I've done for my putting. Note the shaft is just a painted True Temper stepless shaft, I like the stepless look but that's just me... I put a Sharpie site dot on since the leo doesn't have any markings but I think the other unitized do: for $45 shipped I couldn't be happier with my wand. Good luck

Hey buddy, I know you said you had it narrowed down to those 3 choices, but have you looked into the Ping line of Putters? Just a thought but they make great putters IMO. Good Luck with your choice.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
