How would you compare Titleist and Cleveland wedge? I am currently use my brother's cleveland wedges, and really like it... I am thinking about trying something else, but still, not sure yet.

Both are great wedges. I like the look of the Clevelands a little better at address and I seem to have a better feel for the clubhead. Of course, that's completely subjective though. Vokey spin was a little greater than the Clevelands. Playing a ProV1, I can control the spin a little better with the Clevelands. Honestly, you won't go wrong with either one.

I would say that Cleveland has wedges down to a science, and they have the best feel and control around the greens. The spin is just right and I love my black pearl version of the CG12 and the chrome as well!

Personally I hate cleveland wedges I found that the cg12 50* had no spin and it was pointless because it went a couple of feet farther than my 54* vokey

Check out scratch wedges, if you can wait one month, they have cast wedges coming out in may for $100, and new 1018 forged wedges for $150, they will custom fit you and are great to deal with.-AB

Easy answer - Vokey all the way!!! On the lofts, you should go with a 60 degree or 58 degree for lob wedge and that will determine your sand wedge loft as well. If you go with the 60 pick the 56 and if you go with the 58 pick the 54. Hope that helps...

I've gotta give some love to the SV Nike Wedges..... cause they are nice!

I went w/ their gun metal finish in my two new wedges, and they are sharp looking! and bite on a dime..... the feel of them are second to none as well....

I know the Vokey's and Cleveland's wedges get all the love but the SV wedges from Nike need to be at least considered....

Personally Titleist wedges are not something I like. To me they feel like swinging a shovel... just my opinion, alot of people love them. Cleveland, Scratch, or Solus just feel better to me, but you would have to try them. If you already like your bros cleveland...

I play Cleveland 588 DSGs.... $109 at any Dicks or Dunhams. I love the dynamic sole grind for playing different shot shapes and types. Why more people don't play a progresive soul is a mystery to me. Wedge play has become one of my strengths since buying these. Easy to be creative. On the lofts my vote is for 54* and 60*.

This probably wont effect you, but next year the Vokey's "Spin-mill" technology is not going to be allowed on tour.
But you cant go wrong either way, just try them both out.

    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
    • I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
    • Day 128 12-18 Worked on rotation and getting to lead side. Still working on the flow feeling while doing that. Recorded swings.
    • IMO-the only thing entertaining was the relay race. Everything else was excruciatingly boring...or just  stupid, like the 14-club thing. Watching guys blade wedges into the water over and over is not at all interesting.
