Seems like we've been waiting on a 'young gun' to seriously challenge the top players for a very, very long time.

I think you mean 2 big wins. Having the record for most birdies in a round at the masters doesn't hurt either.

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

Fair point indeed, along with two in one year on the tour.

It doesn't hurt, agreed. But McIlroy TIED with Kim for 20th place at that Masters. In the other majors this year, (U.S. Open) Kim was T16 McIlroy T10, British Open, Kim was cut while McIlroy T47, (PGA) Kim was T51 and McIlroy was T3.

In 2008, Kim had 8 top 10 finishes and this year only one (1) ... so how is he trending? To be fair, there is a difference between top 20 finishes and winning so at this point what McIlroy can do in the clutch while contending is a question mark. But time is on his side as McIlroy is 4 years YOUNGER than Kim (minus a month).

Rory is who Id like to see take over but ryo is going to be a pressure player, I seen that in his eyes when he went up against tiger in the cup tournament.

Out of the guys listed, it's tough to go against Rory McIlroy. His game and demeanor seem to be well suited towards majors. That being said, I could see AK and Danny Lee winning multiple majors as well.

On a side note, keep an eye out for Rickie Fowler. I've been following him for a couple years because he went to Oklahoma State to play his college golf. He has stardom written all over him, and he also has a great demeanor for winning majors. He also has a very solid short game which is always crucial. He tied for 7th last week in his first PGA Tour event as a pro, and he is tied for the lead in this week's event. I can't wait to see how he does in the next couple years.

I'm going to skip the poll choices and go with Rickie Fowler. I saw him play at the 2008 US Open - look out, people!

I saw him play there too. We followed him for a few holes after he bombed a drive on the par 5 4th hole (517 yards). He hit a iron into the green there like he was playing a long par 4. I didn't see anyone going after that green with an iron in the 4-5 groups we watched on that hole. Can't speak to his short game as we were in the wrong spot on the holes we followed him on.

    • I have a 2h but we don’t get along anymore. It’s a bit of an abusive relationship - she gives me just enough hope once in a while that things are going to be better and then it’s back to the same old shit. I went to a PING fitting recently with the intention to replace the hybrid with a 5w or something, thinking maybe I’ll be better with a fairway wood than a hybrid. But it turns out the best club I hit that fits in that slot in the bag is another hybrid so I ordered it.

    • Not the last thing I bought or bought anything at all but Sun Day Red stuff seems a bit overpriced for it essentially being rebranded Nike apparel. I'm hearing the resale prices are wild though. Either way, I highly doubt I will indulge as I'm not much of a brand guy or a collector. But to keep up my super nice guy image have never turned down a gift though 😇 Tiger doesn't seem to sell stuff like MJ or Kanye did.
