Tiger is the most telented golfer of all time but still needs to surpass Jack's records to be labeled the greatest golfer of all time.

Actually I say Jack is still the best with all those major wins. In time there is good chance Tiger may surpass Jack in major wins but until then Jack is the man.

Yep. Tiger may be the most talented but the greatest is measured by major victories. Tiger has a way to go yet. Jack was awesome and did not begin golfing until 8 (I believe).

Tiger is amazing. Although, I wonder how many more tourneys Jack might have won w/ some of today's technology. Even w/ just some of today's balls.

Tiger got me into the game.

In 2001 the PGA was in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The CEO of my company had an extra ticket and he gave it to me. I never did like golf and made fun of it every chance I got, but I wanted to see what all the fuss was over this "tiger" fellow.

He made it look so easy, I bought a $40 set of clubs (including bag) from a pawn shop and I have been playing ever since.

On my tombstone: "IfΒ this is the worst thing that ever happens to me, I'm doing just fine!"

Just as Bobby Jones wasn't familiar with the way Jack Golfed his ball I think Jack is just as unfamiliar with the way Tiger plays. Records are meant to be broken and every generation has its heroes. Tiger is this generations top golfer.

Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. I really like watching Golf on TV when Tiger is in the Tourny, however, he wins so much, it is beginning to get mundane. Tiger is the best, past and present.

Eventually, I'll get the hint and stop advertising, which is against the rules.

I wasn't alive at jack's prime so I go with tiger being the greatest golfer, also tiger can rip it further, has a better short game, and he's a built athlete, what else is their to say?

I hate to say it but Tiger definitely has proven himself above and beyond most here or gone professionals. I do get tired of all the Tiger this and Tiger that, especially when he is not leading or near the lead, which is rare. I think that the past pros, given the knowledge and technology that is in the game now, would have been just as good as Tiger is. Who really knows what Tiger has in store next.....he is a phenom that's for sure.

It's a shock, to see all your unbeatable heroes turned into dwarfs by a new generation. I was critical of Tiger, until his last swing reworking and comeback. Now, no question.

Tiger rules, but if Tiger took on Jack with 1970's equipment technology, who knows...we will never know.

Eventually, I'll get the hint and stop advertising, which is against the rules.

For what its worth I think that Tiger is a better golfer and has more strength in depth to contend with every week, but Jack seems like such a gentleman, I'm sure tiger is ok but he does come accross as very stand offish.

I have been able to see both players. Jack during the 70's & 80's and Tiger now. Give me Tiger. I think the depth of talent on tour now if far better than Jack's time. It seems to me that Jack had some great rivals like Watson, Player, Trevino and Palmer but the talent level was diluted. Now Tiger dominates when he doesn't have his A game. I remember of number of times when Jack went head to head with Trevino or Watson in major and lost.

Just my thoughts.

If you take a young Jack with today's technologies and coaches, could he be able to take on Tiger?

Still, I voted Tiger

Jack he's the first - a great champion! I think Greg Norman is pretty special too particularly for his work here in Australia
