I would have to say this question is impossible to answer since Tiger is just now in his prime and not finished yet. However, based on where Jack was at Tigers age now ---Tiger is the greatest golfer of all time.

Grew up watching Jack, and the rest of the plaid pants guys. I think the younger players today know that being physically fit like Tiger really helps their game, and the better equiptment is a plus. I think Tiger would have dominated in that era as well though.

Jack set the bar, Tiger is going to fly over it but I think Greg Norman is always over looked because of his lack of Major wins, But Does any one believe that Jack or Tiger would own Mr, Norman or that he might beat them??? Would be a great match I think,

G2 8.5:
3 wood
4 wood
7 wood
attack 9 wood, CG 2 IronsCG 12 Wedges, Putter

I think that Jack and Tiger would do a tag-team spanking of Mr. Norman. The Shark never had what it takes on the putting surface when it mattered most, that is why he doesnt have the Majors that Tiger and Jack do.

I am not a golf expert, but I was so impressed by Tiger's focus, self discipline and ability to not let a bad shot ruin his mind set in the last tournament that he won. He is a golfing machine. He can be the all time greatest golfer ever.

It's really a difficult decision. Jack didn't have the technology Tiger does now. So you can say that Jack may have been the greater golfer because he wasn't able to hook himself up to computers and analyze his swing on high speed cameras.

But then again, time's change, and Tiger has all this technology to brutally break down his swing and find any and all mechanical flaws (is there any left??). If you take Tiger now, and Jack in his prime, I think Tiger would win. But put Tiger back in the 70's, and maybe Jack would come out on top. Who knows? I voted for Tiger ;)

Tiger. His achievements are already amazing and he is just getting started. I don't even pull for him, instead I hope for a competetive tournament.....which forces me to root for the field!!!!

I'd have to say Tiger, simply because of his knowledge of the game outside of the course. He's as much a part of the technical team at Nike as the engineers are. That alone puts him above Jack. As for the best golfer ON the course, it'd be an excellent and thrilling thing to watch, that's for sure. Again, though, I'd have to go with Tiger. Mainly because technology has brought everyone so close together in terms of scores, and yet he still blows tournaments away.
