Hitting a 6 iron into a really big green and the clubhead hits the green but the ball goes into a bunker. My eyes automatically locked to the clubhead because of surprise and the relative size of the clubhead to the ball so it took me damn forever to find the ball.

you know you thought you were having a bad day.....

When hitting on our fifth hole, which is par 4 308yd with a lake right behind the green and a bunker right in front, you hit your driver with a strong tail wind and swear that your ball goes over the green into the lake, so I hit another, this time over the green into the lake, hit another...over the green into the lake. I say crap..I know I only hit my driver 275yds but give up and hit another with my 3wood. I get to my 3w ball in the fairway and what do I see up ahead...two balls in the trap andd one ball on the green.

I took the shot on the green for eagle

you know your having a bad day when...

Your a freshman in college trying out for the golf team. New golf team, taking 12 members. 40 are trying out. You go to this college for this specific reason.

The college course isn't open yet so we play at a public course near by.

I put my clubs near the bag drop by the clubhouse and go practice putting. Come back 10 minutes later and they are gone with a similar looking bag near them.

Clubs no where to be found.

I couldn't play that day and spent the day with the coach on the cart watching the other players.

Tryouts are 2 days. That night I get a real bad fever and flu. Still no clubs. Coach offers me to use his which are 1/2" short, 2 deg flat Ping Zing's when I played Titleist Blades 1" long 2 deg upright.

Next day I battle thru cold / flu and shoot 80 with his sticks. He reluctantly keeps me on the team that year for my mishap.

2 days after tryouts get a call from the course saying they have my clubs, Someone put the wrong clubs in the car for their friend.

Had to tryout Sophomore year for team as well and made it, shot 76, 74 for 2 day tryouts. :)

That first tryout day was a bad day.

I usually keep all my stuff in the car just in case I can sneak off. Every once in a while, I take them out to clean and go through my bag. If I forget to put them back in, I am SOL if I show up to the course.

Not my bad day, although most are, but playing a few years ago with a someone who was paired up with my friend and me. He pulls out his 4 iron to tee off on number one and the head snaps off. He can't believe what has happened to him so he re-tees and takes out his 5 iron and the head snaps off that one also. Personally I would have quit that day but he plugged on and did fairly well. We told the marshal what had happened and he sped back to the pro shop and brought this guy a 4 and 5 from the shop to use but the never used them because his were quite a bit longer.

I know that I am going to have a bad day when I birdie or par the first hole (I have yet to card an eagle cut I assume it would be the same). It's a strange head thing I guess. I think I need a shrink more than a swing instructor.
