I don't have the x-stiff but I have it in 2 different drivers in stiff and regular and love them both. It definitely plays stiffer than stock oem shafts, but that seems to be true for any aftermarket shaft. I'm not very saavy when it comes to shafts, but i found a good review on it at the golfwrx site that convinced me to buy it.

I don't have it in x-stiff but I have the Tour 75 in stiff in my Titleist 983E. Let's just say I won't be changing anytime soon. Fantastic shaft. Haven't tried the standard ~68g version but the T75 is fabulous. No longer than many other premium shafts but I find the distribution much tighter than anything I've had before; worth it for the improved accuracy I get if nothing else.

The feel is excellent, ball flight is probably mid-launch (ish) and distance is excellent; I find it similar in distance to the 60-70g graphite shafts I've used in the past even though it's heavier.

If you're fitting it yourself, be a bit careful with the tip preparation.

I have the epic in x-stiff and absolutely love it. It's very stiff without being a board meaning that it allows for a lot of feedback. Plus the look is awesome. I also had mine pured though and feel like has helped quite a bit as well. I put mine in a Ping Rapture.

Put this shaft in my TP burner and mann am i killing it. The shaft more than anything is incredibly workable, ive also seen more distance and a higher ball flight which is interesting moving from an pluss stiff to an x. Regardless im killing it with this new shaft and glad i made the switch

Result!

Anyone know how it feels compared to the original Grafalloy Blue? How does it "load" up?

Not sure how it compares to the Blue as I've never used it but my T75 loads beautifully. Feels great but very tight - if I really go after one it still behaves very well. The Epic is quite a bit higher launch I think than the Blue; might not suit everyone.

    • Here's the thing, the Rules are fine here, the problem is at the local Committee (or lack of Committee) level.  The basic Rule is appropriate for most Temporary Water in a Bunker situations.  Indeed, it offers a bit more flexibility than the Rule for Temporary Water in the General Area offers, in that you're allowed to find the Point of Maximum Available Relief, instead of requiring Complete Relief.  And for more unusual circumstances, the Rules offer an alternative in for form of a Model Local Rule.  They don't want every single player to have the authority to claim "I have no possible relief in this bunker, I'll just take it out for free", they want that authority to be at a higher level. I speak only for myself, but the more I learn about the Rules, the more I respect the way they've been put together, and the consistency of concepts throughout.  Its easy to single out one rule in isolation that you dislike, but when you see how the rules fit together as a whole things often make a lot more sense.  No doubt, Rules should be reviewed and improved, really smart people are continually doing just that, looking for cracks and loopholes.  But the changes that actually happen are really tested to see if they actually improve things, change for the sake of change just isn't going to happen.

    • Are you on the app or on the website? On the website, if you go to the performance tab, you can navigate with the side menu to see more detailed information. On those pages, you can switch between strokes gained and standard stats. You can see things like strokes gained from 50-100, 100-150, etc., strokes gained on lengths of putts. You can switch to standard information and see make rates on putt lengths. There's a good amount there to shape your practice. I don't use the app for this, so I can't help with that.
    • Temporary grandstands are in the general area though, a bunker is not so your relief options are different.  I don't really understand what is so difficult about this.  You should be more upset with whoever organizes/runs your league for not implementing GUR, not the rule itself. Especially since this is a league and if it's at the same course every time it's likely that this isn't the first time the bunker has filled up completely with water.
    • Not sure if this is best to post here or start a new thread but I'm curious which stats you pay most attention to/how you utilize Shot Scope's data/charts to drive your improvement/practice?   I have 81 holes in Shot Scope now so starting to get a decent sample size of data about my game. I can obviously see the strokes gained numbers but I'm not quite sure where to go from there in terms of how to assess what specifically I need to work on.  Obviously it's approaches and short game for me, but when I go into those tabs on the left for those specific areas, I'm not quite sure how to use the information to make it actionable in my practice.
