Okay I made a thread before about the callaway irons i couldnt find but now i found the rest i need on the internet but now it seems i'm going to have to pay around 250 for the last 3 irons i need. I think for that price i could buy a whole new set of irons. what do you guys think i would only need 5-9 since i have my own wedges i like. I only put 20 bucks into the callaway irons i have now so im not to worried about losing that 20 bucks if i can get them replaced for the price it would cost to get the last 3 of those irons

My bag

Northwestern 3 wood
Texan 3/4 Hybrid 21 Degrees
Big Bertha 04 5-9 Irons Burner XD Wedges AW,SW,LW DFX 3300 Pro V1 & ProV1x Refurbs

For three irons, I think further research and searching could find them for less than 250 bucks. Try ebay, craigslist, callaway preowned, advertise on golf forums, etc. 250 seems very steep for just three clubs.

callaway preowned is where i found the 7iron for 100, ebay i found 8iron for 80 and then i found 9 iron for 80 on a website.

I would just buy a whole new set of irons. You can find a cheap set for 250 or maybe a little more and get the whle set.
250$ seems very steep for 3 clubs.

Keep watching eBay because I think I remember seeing a few sell for $50 each a while back. I bought my X-22 5-PW set on eBay for $380 and I use hybrids for 3 & 4

What's In My Bag:

If you are looking at the nickents I just bought a set of 3DX Reds in stiff graphite for 130 off of www.rockbottomgolf.com . The set is 3 and 4 Ironwood. and 5-PW. I bought them about a month ago but Im sure they still have them. The only thing with the set I bought is that they only had them at that price in the stiff graphite but it was what I needed so I guess I lucked out.

    • “Will never win” applies to the rest of his career. We can revisit this topic the day he either wins or plays his last Masters. If he never end up winning someone might say “you guessed right”. Could be tomorrow, 20 years from now or more. In the event he never wins one, I’m also interested to see how you’ll prove that your suggested reasons had anything to do with it.
    • Man.. reading back through the thread, it’s understandable how my thread starter would be taken negatively, especially for those who really like Rory.  But for those who are calling out Troll or incorrect facts, etc etc, I’ll make a deal. If Rory wins (and I count myself in for those who would like to see him win), I’ll come back and grovel, begging for forgiveness, acknowledging how wrong I had it, etc etc But if Rory loses, and for any reasonable connection to the factors I listed, some sort of similar acknowledgement coming back the other way would be nice! 😊 👍
    • Rich Hunt has as usual (since 2013) predicted the 20 players most likely to win based mostly on data. Here's the state of things after two rounds. "Top 10" means it's his personal predition of the 10 mostlikely to win of those 20. Rose was filtered out based on lack of distance off the tee, but with his 300 average he's just over the tour average and longer than several other players that made the top 20 shortlist (Lowry, Hovland, Cantlay +), so I don't understand how that works. Maybe certain metrics overrule other metrics? • Announcing;  it bugs me when they ask “Are you proud of yourself?”  “Are you proud of the way you played?”  “Are you proud of this or that?”  In what other sport do the announcers-interviewers ask this annoying question? And then the golfers have to answer… “I was really proud of myself when.. yada yada" Tyrell Hatton, 16th hole;  Following his reaction to his tee shot, after his first putt I thought his head was going to explode.  He’s kinda entertaining that way, I think he’s the top contender for ‘most likely to explode'
