After The Players Championship Alan and I will be interviewing several TaylorMade folks about various products:

What I'd like from all of you are serious questions you'd like us to ask. If they're good and we have time, we'll ask them.

I would love a genuine explanation as to the differences between the TP red and black golf balls. Which one is the longer one, which one spins more etc etc, as far as i am concerned their literature on the matter is awful and it is almost impossible to work out which one is which!

They're just thin little metal stickers, basically, aren't they?

Are there any plans to release left-handed versions of the new Rossa Core Classic or TP by Kia Ma putters, other than the standard Daytona model?

Unfortunately we only have 5-10 minutes, so if you can turn that into (or if we can) a more general "lefty" question, we can ask it. Asking specifics, though, we don't have much time to do.

As you know vokey's have tons of loft/bounce options....... but the Z TPs only have set lofts with set bounces. Do they have future plans on expanding their wedge lineup/options? Or may you can think up some general wedge questions.... The way I see it, they have tons of lines and new intros in the MetalWood side of things. Also, they have plenty of iron offerings (I'm also interested in the question regarding the japan-issue clubs, btw.) They have a decent line-up of putters going on...... but wedges seem like something they don't invest in (which is sad since I love my Z TPs.)

I realize your OP doesn't include wedges, so maybe there is a reason for that -- in which case nevermind (or maybe the wedge is included under irons?)

Also, I would really be interested on hearing of any news regarding either update current balls, or future additional lines.

Given that they have such tight control over the shaft options that use their proprietary hosel system in the R9 woods, will Taylor Made be offering more shaft options for the R9 line?

I have often wondered if the inspiration behind the R9 was more improvement driven or cost reduction. By standardizing the manufacturing of driver heads into LH and RH models, they no longer have to make and stock 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, etc.

Do you have a flawed design in your R7 series line of driver heads? Trampoline effect is great, but do you have a lot of returns due to creases in the perimeter of the clubface?

Why is the R7 CGB max in a barrel of 20 at Golfsmith for $170, wasn't this a $500 club a year ago?

I'm done with TrailerMade.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
