That would ordinarily be funny if not for the fact that putting is all about drinking the Kool_Aide, i.e. having confidence.

I have the mizuno and it reminds me very much of the scotty in feel. It is made the same way and I really like it. I got it for 50 on ebay.

try one of the new Cleveland Classic series putters. i think they're like $79 BRAND NEW. same weight as the Newport 2 with the 10g weights in it (340 grams) and no insert as well

Thats true as well. A friend of mine picked up a Pro Platinum Del Mar 3 in good condition for $100 bucks. At a Golfsmith of all places.

I was in the same boat as you, putted with the Cleveland Classic #1 and the difference is minimal. The Karsten Anser on the otherhand has a very different feel. So in summary get the Cleveland for $69 and be very happy.

I bought my dad the LYNX liberty putter. Its $40, comes with a Winn grip. Soft face insert, great weight/feel. Looks like a Scotty Cameron Newport at setup. I bought it at golfsmith. Best bang for your buck for sure. I've played Scotty's for 10+ years now and it is very similar, super value.

I'm with the people who suggested the Cleveland Classic. If I wasn't lucky enough to have half of my Scotty paid for as a present, I probably would have gotten one of them or the Mizuno C series (which I still might pick up anyway). The Cleveland looks like a Scotty from far way, even has a similar red grip. The feel is okay on them as well.

ive heard from a couple of people who bought fake Scottys from China and they said they were actually pretty decent putters, lol. both of them had fake Newport 2's.

      Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.

      Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
