so I mentioned that I finally got ahold of someone on the phone last week, and they stated they were shipping the balls out that day and would be here in 3-5 business days. 7 business days later and I still don't have a package from them, and I've since sent 3 emails and tried calling countless times just to get a tracking number on the shipment.

Can they really not afford to hire someone to answer emails all day? What gives?

I've bought from them 3 different times and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. With any company there's bound to be some mistakes. There's always the unfortunate people that it has to happen to. It'll get sorted out soon.

Hopefully your problem gets taken care of soon. Other than this, I've heard only good things about LostGolfBalls.

On a separate note, has anybody used GolfBallNut.com? They seem to be very similar to LostGolfBalls and I wanted to see if anybody had any experiences with them, good or bad.

I am going to have to buy my balls back from lostgolfballs.com pretty soon. Think I should go with the srixon AD333s again or try something new? Want something I can get for like 5 bucks a dozen.

Will somebody please send me an email with the free shipping special? ( jbsulliv@gmail.com ) I would like to purchase about $40 dollars worth of balls from them, but the shipping will cost me more than the balls. (I want to order some of the horrible balls that come 500 for $11, and I think that is why the shipping is so high). Also, I heard that shipping was free on orders over $75 or $100. I added enough balls to get me to those caps, and I still didnot see that I would get free shipping. Any advice on this?

Hmm, it says it right on their home page now.  Free UPS Ground Shipping on all order over $75 *Not Valid outside the 48 States.

I just received my first order.  I got 3 dozen 2010 prov1x (5A), plus a shag bag full of prov1's (AA).

You can definitely tell the difference between 5A and a new ball, but really just because a new ball is kind of shinny.  Most balls have no marks at all.  about 1/3 have some sort of identifying mark like faded dot or initials.  But they are in great shape.

In fact, I think the AA balls they filled my shag bag with are in good enough shape to play.  but maybe i have low standards.

When these run out, i'll probably buy a bucket of 100 4A proV1x's.

I have purchased from them several times and think that the quality of the balls they send is usually better than their promised condition.  I have always received the at least the correct amount and several times a few extra.

I had one problem when ordering when the price displayed was not used when I went to order.  They said it was posted wrong on the web page but honored the equivalent price per dozen because they did not have the 50 ball buckets.  Customer service was very cordial and immediately offered to fix the problem.

I really try to get the best price when buying something but have given up on searching around at other used ball sites or eBay because I know what I am going to get at this site.  If you check the site from time to time they have deals that drive the cost per ball even lower.  Oh and I have never hit a ball that I got from them and felt that it was defective in any way.

Much has already been said as to the comparative performance of these vs new Pro V-1.s.  I am not one who could really tell the difference BEFORE, but based on feels in backyard driving, I do see a marked improvement with a few important caveats:

my practice balls, are old, bashed, nicked, and left out in the elements

There is the honey moon effect

my previous experience with Titleist is with pre-professional era i.e. Wound, DT, balata.

Therefore, my assessment is validity challenged, but for now, I can definitely feel a difference. I really did not expect that. Also the often touted notion that the Pro V1's are geared towards higher swing speeds, and therefore I never used them. For now,I disagree with that notion.  Tomorrow.....who knows?
