There's this nighttime tournament out in September at one of the courses I play (I think they use glow in the dark balls and flashlights...)

So that got me thinking of night time golf...I remember seeing a piece in Golf Magazine or Digest of a course in China that basically had Stadium lighting...which is interesting as hell. You can basically golf all night.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with that or come across a course with those type of capabilities and if anyone's played a course like that

A buddy of mine keeps saying there's a course in San Diego you can play at night

There are quite a few courses out here at are lighted for night play. Personally I don't find it enjoying. I lose too many balls and everything is just wet. Not like morning wet because you can see stuff. Night wet is no fun.

One of the local courses, Jones Creek, had a glow-ball tourney that I played in a few years ago.

It was okay....the glow ball distance was at least a club shorter...if not more than normal.....spin wasn't good either.

As stated before...the moisture level was way high...making it a slippery affair (it's a hilly course)...I busted my rump walking down from the cart path to hit my second shot on number ten.

Scores were way up...but then again so was the "Bud Light" consumption...maybe related.

Glad I did it once...not something that I'm eager to do again. I can't stress how easy it is to slip and fall...uneven terrain, etc. You'll be lucky not to roll an ankle or twist a knee.

I played lighted 9-hole courses in CA & SC. If you want to play at night try the Artic Open in Iceland. Tee off time is midnight in the land with no setting sun in summer time.
