i got a set of used irons off of craigslist and the grips on them are pretty fat. they are comfortable but i think they are a little to big for my hands.. i have girly hands i guess

so i am just wondering what are some good golf grips? i did some research but didn't know there are so many different kind of grips.

thanks for all the help in advance!

p.s. my hands tend to get quite sweaty when i play.

I have sweaty hands and favor winn.. I end up changing them a lot though when I play often. I think they're worth it though

I just got some Winn PCi V17 grips and they are awesome. Partly corded, this may be good for "sweaty hands". Top notch grips. I ordered mine from Golfsmith. Below is a link to the grips on the Winn site. Also, look at "grip tips" or "FAQ" on the Winn site, there is some useful info on caring for your grips and determining grip size based on what size golf glove you wear.

Ha ha ha... I hear you man. Saw that myself

These are great grips. They read to be long wearing and durable, which I like as well. I have used Winn grips for the last 5 years and love them, but the previous models did wear down over a season or two. These new models look like they will last for a long time. Which at their price, I would hope so. I got the O/S model and they were about 9 bucks each. But good grips are very important of course.

I've only been using Star Grips Sidewinder for the last 5 years. I just ordered and installed my second set. I love them because they are very grippy and firm, yet have a soft quality to them. They are also the longest lasting grips I have ever come across.

I really like the new WINN PCi TL grips, but as somebody else commented great feeling grips but they are not as durable as some other manufactures, they tend to wear out a lot quicker. Perhaps that's the trade-off for their great feel?

Those are my favorite-just put some on a set of Ping Zing 2 irons I picked up.

I have another question about grips...

How long after having new grips put on do you have to wait to play with the clubs?

The corded grips are easy to hold onto with sweaty hands. plus, they look great!

I left some 3 clubs behind the counter at the pro shop at the club i am a member of because i didn't need them for the round. I came back 2 or 3 weeks later, and they had been regripped! they were 1994 mizuno tp19s that had the original grips on and they needed some new ones anyway! and i don't have to pay for them (£15) because i didn't ask for them to be regrippped!!!

I want to regrip my clubs as well. I like my grips to be oversize. I like the Lamkin prima wrap classic grips or the Lamkin Torsion Control grips but they're too expensive.

They are really awesome grips.

Another grip that is simple, functional and a very good bargain is the Golf Pride Tour Velvet....you can get them for very reasonable prices installed. I've got 'em on my woods and hybrids...but I'm gonna be switching to corded grips on these sticks soon.....humidity and sweaty hands.
