New Member from Nashville

Good day to all -

For a short intro - I am from the Northern Virginia (outside of DC) area originally, and lived their pretty much the first 29 years of my life, I then moved to Nashville to attend graduate school for an MBA degree. I love this city and was able to find a great job here, so I'll be sticking around.

I've been "playing" golf since high school, but it was a 4-5 rounds a year thing, and once I became legal (or maybe even a few years before) it was a great excuse for outdoor day drinking and busting chops with my friends.

While in school since I had a more flexible schedule, I decided to try to dedicate myself enough to the game so that I could become a "solid" bogey golfer. My main goal was to never have to turn down a golfing invitation because of the course difficulty or the skill level of the other players.

I took some lessons sprung for a new set of clubs, and started playing a practicing a good deal, and now I'm hooked badly. My job does not start until later this summer, and I'm done with school so the only thing keeping me from playing/practicing everyday is a slightly troublesome back.

I think I have found a passion and a hobby for life. I've made some big strides in my understanding of the game, and now see how deep this rabbit hole goes. The solid bogey golf aspiration is close at hand, and I'm already thinking of the next level.

I've been lurking on here since March or so, and love what I've read. Thanks for taking the time to read this -
