I have 'played' with both at my favorite local retailer and I really liked the sabertooth, for whatever it's worth. It really made me think!

Between those two I'd go with the Sabertooth, but I ended up with the Teron and love it.

Putters are 100% opinion imo.

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

Neither one is better,

I agree - I dropped the 2-ball for half a season with the sabertooth. I came back. Not because the sabertooth is a bad putter, but because I am more confident with the 2-ball.

I love my sabretooth before it was stolen, so I bought another one brand new. I am actually looking to sell it because I want to try out the Teron. Let me know if you're interested.

Anyone else compare the two ball R-7, the Sabertooth, the regular two ball, and the teron?

I spent 3 hours at Roger Dunn hitting all 4 of these and I'm still trying to figure it out! I would have loved to try a Black series 2 ball as well, ut they didn't have one.

James, here is my opinion which is probably shared the same amongst others.

Putters are really something that comes to you versus what you may try to gather answers from others that may think work for you... In other words, our opinions really doesn't matter until you spend the time hitting hundreds of balls with each putter. For instance, I have the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 which I love to death but couldn't use it for the life of me so I went ahead and tried out the Sabretooth which worked wonders. (This was after several putts with the sabretooth). My putts have gotten a lot better but after awhile, I picked up the newport 2 again and given the confidence and feel of the putter, I learned how to use it better. I have both in my arsenal and love to use both in different situations. At any point, browsing the golf store, I picked up the teron to try to putt a few and realized that the teron did even better giving me more confidence. I don't know what rhyme or reason it was but I was sinking long putts with ease. Perhaps it's all mental but now would like to give up my sabretooth for the Teron because it just feels awesome and along with reading the breaks, I seem to be able to control the ball speed a whole lot better with the Teron versus the Sabretooth. Yes, the sabretooth was great but the teron for me was even more an improvement. I can't say that I have purchased the teron as of yet and tried out on the course but time and time again, I can sink a ball with the teron far more accurately than the Sabretooth. I have spent countless hours on the demo floor switching between the two back and forth. Like I said I think it's all in my head but if I were to tally up all the ball sunk with the Teron versus the Sabretooth, from 4, 5, 6, 10 feet, etc. The Teron will definitely win by a landslide...actually I have tallied it and let's just say I'm sold. What is stopping me? Well, I don't want to end up with three putters so I'm looking to let go my sabretooth first then go with the Teron. The point in the story, spend time with each putter because what you will find here from everyone is their experience of how they got to love their putter. Now find yours.

I don't know if this will help or only frustrate you but i have the sabretooth now and have loved it since i bought it, however...i'm going to be picking up a black series 2 ball within the next two weeks. I like the feel of both of them and i might use them interchangably...best of luck in your decision

I tried out both...I preferred the sabretooth.

But as with everything golf club orientated - it's about personal opinion and what feels best for you. Try them both out...see what you like!
