Yes, I flinched at her exit; as for the nerves shown, I can't see how they expect to make it as professionals and be that close to the edge. I thought it was childish, especially by Bri. As for Gary, he has played well the last two weeks, but he may give Trump some competition for the size of his ego.

Watched last night's show. Still speechless over Ashley's caboose shaking as she walked off into the sunset. Somehow, it just seemed wrong . . .

I remember Gary proclaiming himself as the best sand player on the show a couple of episodes ago. I'm not one for braggarts, but after seeing him hit those last bunker shots, maybe there is something to that statement.

I actually met Bri on the practice range at Rio Pinar Country Club here in Orlando. I had a company golf league match going on that afternoon and she was hitting balls on the far end of the range (maybe there was a Futures Tour event in the area?). Some of the guys were trying to get her to confess about the ending of the show. They were also watching very carefully anytime she teed up her ball or picked up her tee. It was funny watching these 50 year old men straining their necks just to try and get a peek. I can't blame them though, I was trying to hide myself behind them as to not make it as obvious. Very nice girl, although there is a bit of a spoiled attitude to her. She did say there was going to be something that happens that no one on the show expected. This was before they brought back the eliminated golfers, so maybe that's what she meant. Maybe not?

I wonder if the producers don't encourage a little extra histonics, along with careful editing, to try and increase the drama. After all it is reality TV not reality.

A few seasons ago they did the Big Break: All Access shows on Wednesday evening. It had some of the footage that did not make it on the Tuesday night show. They always had a knack of zeroing in on the most emotional player. I'm sure you're correct about the drama-enducing part by the producers. It all probably factors into who they choose. If you can imagine some up and coming golfer that wants as much face time on television as possible to hopefully land a sponsor, they'll turn the waterworks on in a heartbeat.

I'm still bad with names..but Ashley is the gal that went for it and it pushed right into the thick rough right?

My only ? is I know she said she normally plays aggressive but I thought that was a horrible decision. Was that a par 4 or 5 they were playing? If it was a par 5 and she's trying to go on in 2..WHY? Like tennis, unforced errors kills in this type of format.

I felt she was in a slight position of advantage and with that shot she just shot herself in the foot. I assumed she wasn't able to deal with the grinding and wanted to be on top quick.

Slow and easy wins the race..or at least makes for better t.v.

It doesn't look like many of the contestants care for Bridget, but she has been my favorite since the beginning. Her game won't blow anyone away, but she also plays to her strengths and plays within her own game. I like that, and it paid off last show. She just played everything safe and ended up with a birdie to move onto the next show.

As for Gary, he is definitely a solid sand player. I'm just wondering how he will do in a match-play situation though for all the marbles.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I wonder if the last show gave away a little spoiler in one of the commercials? Did anyone notice the one advertising the upcoming February "Reunion" show? I won't give names, but yeah, producers have made worse slips on other similar shows. Rockstar being a good example.

Also, and this is just my personal opinion, but the discussion show they aired a few weeks ago was interesting. It was a bit like walking into a poker game a few hours after it starts. Most of the time you don't have to see anyone's pile to tell who has been winning. I'm not so sure about the guys, but one of the ladies was particularly comfortable and humble. Just makes me wonder.

I read the same thing into the commercial as the rest of you guys. I was disappointed they didn't complete the matchplay finals last night. I mean how long can they drag this thing out???

It seems that Bridget is not as well liked by the other contestants, but the girl does have game. She is always contending for the exemption on every show and she does know her game. She just does not make big mistakes. That may bode well for this match play event. I think Bri is cute as a button, but she is a whiner who seems pretty spoiled to me. Denny has been solid throughout the competition. He especially seems to rise to the occassion when he is faced with an opponent one on one.

Man ol' Jeff needs to get busy and quick! All Denny has to do is halve three holes and it's over, right? It's harder to read the girls though. In the commentary they both have negative body language, which only makes sense if which ever one won the ladies part also lost the final man v. lady match. I wish it would hurry up and get over, too. It's just about the only thing I watch on TV at night.

Im cheering for Bri all the way!

I think Bridget is a great golfer, but she seems a little stuck up to me.

If Bri can get a handle on her putter, I think she'll win it.

On the mens side, Denny is just layin' the boots to poor Jeff. Neither were who I wanted to go all the way, but out of the 2, im glad Dennys winning.

So how many of you got a bit sidetracked by the promos for Big Break 7 and thought Bri would lose? I have to admit it got me thinking after I saw it the first time, but when they kept showing it over and over, I figured there had to be some sort of deception going on. And how about 'ol Jeff coming back to force a playoff?

I enjoyed watching the guys show off their skills, and sometimes lack thereof. The girls have been done twice already, so it was good to see a different set of golfers competing. Gives me hope for when I turn 50 some day.

Turns out they fooled us with the commercial and Bri DID win.

I thought it turned out to be pretty fascinating at the end.

Thank God Bri won! I just didn't want to see Bridgette get away with the W, I didn't like her attitude and some of the comments she made, shes a priss too. Bri obviously had the following behind her which just goes to show. The other girl I really liked was Rachel, she seemed really down to earth and good hearted. Although you may all kind that Kelly was a cook, he just seems like a free spirited, nice guy. As far as the match between Jeff and Deny, I thought both of them were really classy and were rooting each other on for a good match. The sportsmanship between them was much better than the girls. Imagine that!

    • Day 1 - First chipping and pitching. Focus on a better grip, the fundamentals and taking the club back on plane, not outside. Feels good. Then some full swings. Focus on improving the setup. Weight more forward, more bent over, and same grip stuff.
    • Congrats on the improvement. Cheers for lots of continued improvement in the future. IMO you've gotta get away from these spots… Those are partly "results" as the work will begin on things earlier in the swing. Good luck.
