Man it really sucks for those people who barely got to watch any play yesterday. On top of them being rained on, there won't be a raincheck. So does the USGA sell tickets for Monday or do only the playoff ticket holders get to go on Monday? At least on a good note the weather really let up and we'll get to see some golf~

I hope they re-think that. Seems to me that the answer would be to give yesterday's ticket holders a Monday ticket if they want it. No way this thing is getting wrapped up Sunday.

Sunday ticket could still be used for a Tuesday playoff if it came to that.

well they saved money on the swimming pool.

The golf over the weekend is going to be awsome... I love watching PGA pros struggle. The winner being over par is awesome.
To steal from Chris Berman, the first US Open playing at 9,000 yards.

They listened to me. David Fay just announced that Thursday tickets will be honored on Monday. Good for them...... That's the right answer, IMHO.

They "may" reconsider. There hasn't been anything official on the ticket situation.

David Fay just held a press conference and announced the decision. It's official.

Updated Announcement For Thursday Tickets

We have continued to review our ticket policy as well as listen to fans and state officials. With this unprecedented bad weather we strive to accommodate as many spectators on the golf course as possible. We place a priority on the safety of our spectators and their overall experience of the U.S. Open Championship.

Fans who purchased Thursday tickets will be welcome to attend Monday play. If there is no Monday golf, Thursday ticket purchasers will be entitled to a 50 percent refund on the price of their Thursday ticket.

We want to be clear about the ticket policy for Saturday and Sunday. If 90 minutes or more of golf are played on Saturday or Sunday, daily tickets for that day will not be refunded or exchanged. If less than 90 minutes of golf are played on either Saturday or Sunday, ticket holders for that day will be welcomed onto the course for subsequent golf.

Definitely the right thing to do for the spectators who came down for Thursday. The only unfortunate thing is for the people who can't make it Monday for some reason or another. I also agree that there will be golf on Monday, and not just a playoff.
