Far less than the amount of people that call BS for you hitting your driver around 300 yards on average.

Posting how far you "should" hit your driver seems pretty silly to me.

Right, you lost 40-70 yards on your driver and don't know why?

Look, in the end I don't really care how far you claim to hit the ball, but you should find someone here on the forum and go play with 'em. I'd be curious to see what they have to say at the end. As for your question, the answer is simple: go get a lesson. I think it will be a humbling experience.

i was sayin average of 250 as opposed to 290 i hit 2 today at around 280 and i know that you know alot more about golf than i probably ever will,so ill ask you.if i changed my swing to a flatter plane could it affect distance like that?

A flatter plane would likely give you more distance if you are as steep into the ball as others have alluded to.

    • Wow, largest ever 36-hole lead at the Masters. Seems good. I don't really have much to add, but I'm having a great time nursing a cold by watching this tournament.  I doubt Rory fumbles this one, but you never know. As a fan, I hope he can close this out with two rounds to go.  I saw a funny comment somewhere where someone said Bryson should try to 3D print himself a green jacket.
    • Day 234 4-10 Blending hip/chest rotation backswing work and wrist arch in downswing. Pause at the top and slower swing. Recorded and hit foam balls.
    • Day 2, April 10 2026.  After watching today's excellent Masters broadcast, I have hit 18 balls, one at a time, each after doing the pelvis limiting drill.
    • Day 33 (10 Apr 26) - Played in the club Friday shootout with a slight twist as the course was setup for tomorrow’s local “Masters” one day tournament.  The pins were in some slippery places and the greens firm and bouncy.  Overall made for staying the process all the more important especially on the greens.
    • Rory up by six - makes me wonder if the powers that be will adjust Augusta’s moving day setup to be uber tough or uber getable to get a few closer.
