so i had a pair of Nike Air Tour Saddles from this year
wore them about 12 rounds and they just hurt my feet
so i took them back and exchanged them for a new pair of Nikes (can't remember the name and the box is downstairs...sorry! haha)

anyways, the Air Tour's were white AND black
my new pair are all black w a silver Nike Swoosh on the side & white laces
they are super sweet shoes, but don't know if i can get used to all black golf shoes
i wear all black etnies w white laces every day, and actually wouldnt wear any other color
so why the difference w the golf shoes?

so vote away, all white, all black, all brown, white/black, white/brown, "other"

and yes...im searching for topic ideas!! hahaha!

Right now, I have two pairs of Nikes, both are predominantly white. I have a pair of white

Air Zoom Elites and a pair of the Air Max Summers . Either go well with whatever I'm wearing, although the Air Max Summers are more comfortable, and if we go eat after a round, I'm able to wear them without anyone really knowing I'm wearing golf spikes. I definitely see myself getting a pair of black shoes when it gets cool enough to wear pants to the course. Hopefully, I'll end up getting the Air Zoom Vapors . I saw them at the pro shop at my course, and at Edwin Watts, and I think they're wicked looking. For some reason though, I dont see myself wearing black shoes unless I'm wearing pants. I dont know why. I guess the lighter color shoes just go better with shorts for me.

All Black. Footjoy. Classic look.

You can wear them with everything, and they are light and comfortable.

I hear you on the all black thing. There was a time when I just couldn't wear all black shoes, work or golf, they were just weird to look down on. I'm over it now.

As far as the vote goes, why limit yourself to one pair? Why not a pair of different styles for each color/combo?

I have all black adidas ones right now but they're getting a little worse for wear so I'll probably have to get a new pair soon. I quite like the look of the brown and white ones so I might get a pair of those.

I'm admittedly a Nike guy, always have been, and I'm ok with that, but there are a pair of Adidas that I think look really badass. If you dont mind the recommendation, I'd say check out the

Adidas Powerbands . I love the orange/black/white ones. I think they look freakin awesome, and I was really close to picking up a pair at Sports Authority. They had a few pair on the clearance rack for a really good price, but nothing in my size. I dont know how comfortable they are, but I think they're really good looking shoes.

All black is definitely the classiest looking golf shoe and if I were to play in a tournament or something, I would buy a pair of those. Right now I have a white/black pair of nikes that look good, and even though i prefer nike shoes sometimes they don't always fit well if you order them without trying them on first and some of the dressier types aren't extremely comfortable. The next pair I buy will probably be more like the air summers for maximum comfort when walking.

i started off with a pair of black shoes, didn't really think they looked too good on me, so the next couple of pairs have been white/brown.

I picked up a pair of black nikes for $90 from sports authority, they're pretty comfy, I like them a ton. Since they're all black they match anything which makes it really conenient for those of us that like to look stylish while golfing.

I agree with Ben.

I have, currently: 1) SYNR-G white/brown saddle 2) SYNR-G all-black 3) ReelFit white/brown saddle 4) ReelFit white/black saddle 5) GF-II white/brown saddle The all-blacks I plan to wear in my tournament this Thursday. They look good once you get used to them, I think (and wear black socks, for goodness' sake).

I agree with Ben.

after trying these all blacks on again and again...this was my issue i wear white ankle socks for golf and i just couldnt figure out why they looked silly....it WAS the white socks w black shoes!! hahahah!!!!! still unsure though these are the Air Tour Sport's all black i think they are a "made for" shoe from the store i bought them from, as i cant find them on the Nike site i compared them to my 4 year old Adidas shoes and the Adidas felt more comfortable and like my foot was more stable these almost felt "shallow"...if that makes sense? think i am gonna take them back today and look for something else just cant get used to them

Well I had trouble (as usual) with the poll. I picked white/brown because that's what my FJ Contours are, but this time of year I mostly wear my FJ sandals and they would definitely fit the "other" category.

I'll never own black because I think they look silly with shorts, which is what I wear for at least 90% of my play. I'm not going to buy a $100 pair of shoes just for the rare occasions when I wear black slacks. Nobody is ever going to accuse me of being a fashion plate anyway...

I also won't buy Nike because I hate the spike locking system that they use.... working at a golf course I have to help customers change spikes occasionally and the Nikes are absolutely the worst...

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
