Selling:

thats another great point to getting more bids if you are selling. LOW SHIPPING. it really irks me when i see a club i want but the shipper is charging $16 to ship it when it only costs $8 (give or take a buck) to ship it anywhere in the US via Priority Mail. when i sell a club i always just charge a flat rate of $9.95 shipping. I also wont bid on something that the seller has jacked the shipping price on. you mostly see the higher shipping prices with the newer sellers though. once they realize that they will get more bids with cheaper shipping fees, they stop gouging shipping prices

I bought a complete "new" set of clubs, Hogan HBs that were a model of club that was few years old. Half the set was regular flex and half the set were stiff! I'll never buy clubs online again.

did they state that in the auction?

if you got a great deal on them however, i would think its worth it since swapping out 4 shafts isnt that expensive. plus you could turn around and resell the unwanted shafts. a lot of people who sell golf clubs dont know much about them too, so they might not have even known the difference. thats another reason why it is sooooo important to take really good detailed photos of your items when you sell them. recently i bought one of those hot-cor illegal Callaway drivers from a guy who took crappy photos of it (he only had ONE photo listed & it was blurry like a cell phone cam pic). i ended up winning it for $33. when i got it, it was in amazing shape, so all i did was put a new grip on it, took 5 really good photos of it, and sold it a week later for $150...good photos make a HUGE difference.

Dang, I tried to pick up two clubs yesterday, and I lost both by about a dollar each. A used but pretty good condition left-handed titleist vokey spin milled 60* wedge, it was $41 and I set it to snipe at $50.00 with whatever the default setting is, 10 seconds I think? and someone won it for $51.00. Then I bid on a pretty decent Scotty Cameron left-handed putter, it was $111 and I set it to snipe at $131.26 and someone won it for $132.32. Did I just get outsniped by someone bidding a couple seconds closer to the end of the auction? I'm pretty bummed about the Cameron! Oh well, I just got to stay patient I guess.

The tip to use the left side bar to filter what I want was a great tip, it makes it a lot easier to find the left clubs without having to scroll through hundreds of righties.

PS. It's really annoying the extreme lack of left handed clubs! ahhh :(

Best selling tip -

Post great pictures of your product. Detailed, large, clear pics have really helped me sell a lot of stuff at great prices.

I once bought a new Canon 5d. I used the camera for 2 years. I then sold the camera for the same price I bought it for.
