Im going to golfsmith later to get a new grip for my driver, and Im unsure of what to get.

I LOVE my red new decades, but I think the cord rubs away my glove too much so I want to try something else.

I used to play winn grips 2 years ago which felt nice, but they wore down too quickly and started to become slippery. I know they have plenty new models out now but I have yet to try any of them. One thing that looks interesting is the half cord winn grips.

What grip will last me long without ruining gloves and has a good feel?

Anything cord is going to shred a glove for the most part. The decades and pci's seem to be the best right now. A durable grip that held up rain well plus didn't shred gloves is the golf pride tour wrap. Its not flashy but its a great grip.

I think Im sticking with Golf Pride but I still want a change. I dont really like tour wraps but how about the DD2 Ribbed Grips? The yellow color will match the new shaft I just had put in theres no cord to ruin my glove

Anyone have these?

My grips are Winn Master Wrap (Winn Excel RF). Have only had them since April, but I really like them. Have played probably 20 rounds plus several practices with them and no sign of wear.

Same here. I use the Crossline Midsize on all of my clubs. I wipe them down with a wet towel after each round and they continue to have the right amount of grip without becoming slippery or wearing gloves out too quickly. Plus, they're cheap!

For the price I really like the Golf Pride Tour Velvets.

I think these are the best for the money as well. They hold up well and don't tear your gloves apart.

Lol, since it seems like no one wants to answer your question, I will

I've got the GP DD2 on both of my drivers, but I ended up putting the New Decade MC on my 3W when I got it reshafted. I love the New Decades on my irons, but for some reason, I kinda wish I would have stuck with the DD2 on my 3W. The DD2 definitely doesnt shred gloves, and has a nice, soft feel. It's also is a little bit cheaper. Of course, since it's not a cord grip, it's not quite as good as the New Decades are if you have sweaty hands, or if it's really humid. Though I sweat a lot, and it's extremely humid down here, and I've never had a problem with the DD2s. I say it's worth spending the $10 and trying it out. If you dont like it, you're only out $10.

Well I bought the DD2 in yellow to match my ProForce shaft. I went to Golfsmith and checked out every shaft, and that one seemed nice. Its soft and firm at the same time, has just enough tack, wont tear up my glove, and looks good :)

Im having a friend put it on today and Ill test it saturday. If its nice enough I might put it on my irons because I have new decades and they tear up my glove.

Also, how are the Lamkin Crosslines?

I'm a cord lover.

That being said...I'm playing midsize Tour Velvets on my driver, 3wood and hybrids. It was a low cost test to see how the size worked.

Once they are worn they will be replaced with corded midsize grips.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
