This place looks AWESOME. It's opening 10 minutes from my house.

As you all know, NJ isn't the greatest place to play golf during the Winter. This will help my game A LOT so I don't lose my skills from summer to spring again like last year, LOL.

It's a bit pricey, but I will be going there 4-5 times per month probably.

This is pretty cool if you live in a cold winter area. I can't even imagine having to take a several month break from Golf and getting all rusty. Luckily for me, I can enjoy the beautiful California sunshine year round :)

Looks pretty neat, wish we had one of those around here. I tried to play as late as I could last year, even played once in december and it was cold that day and one other time I played earlier this year, if its 50 or warmer ill go. Basically from march to november. I think i did play on weekend after thankgiving last year as it was about 65-70 then i think, very warm for this area.

That is essentially what the PGA Superstores in the area have so they can give lessons and so you can demo clubs. It's nice to go in, grab a few drivers and swing away, especially on rainy days. They use Doppler radar to check your spin rate, swing type (pull, slice, draw, etc) and they're very accurate when calibrated.

I lived in allentown for a brief period of time and this place has been trying to get going for a while. I'm glad to see it finally did and the simulators are neat but hitting off mats just screws me up. I guess it the fact that there's no feel and swinging in the cage was never comfortable either. I'm surprised you don't play more in the winter I grew up in central PA and if it was above 40 we played. I've played up in the bridgewater area several times in the winter actually I just played a course Neshanic Valley up there nice but you can tell its new.

Dang that is awesome! You are so lucky, in Iowa there's just a golf simulator 40 minutes from my house.

I'm all for gadgets and stuff, and I love hitting on the simulators at Golf Galaxy but I can't imagine paying 45 bucks to play a virtual Pebble Beach. I can hit a decent local course for that much twice.

The golf league sounds like it would be fun though, especially since we don't have one in the area.

the membership that includes lessons is a pretty sweet deal. If you think about it for $200 a month you get unlimited practice, two lessons a month year round. I pay $50 to $80 a lesson here and try to take two a month whenever possible as it is.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

Where in Jersey are you at? If you're 10 minutes from P'burg... you can't be too far from me in Morris County.

And... if you are out there in Warren county... where do you typically play? CY

In northern Delaware, me and my dad's rule is if it is greater than 45 degrees with little wind, we'll play.
Giants - Cardinals - Rangers

Yeah I mean I played in the winter a little bit, but it's boring when you play golf in the winter. Most of the time I can't find anyway to play with because they look at me like I'm nuts, and at least this will give me a 'fun' alternative that is close by.

As for Neshanic Valley, yeah, that's a nice course. Only played it once in a tourney, I thought it was tough. Although, I did have the shanks for about two weeks and it was during tha tournament. Shot 93...ouch!

Yeah I'm out in Warren county. I play mostly at Architects Golf Club in Phillipsburg, and at High Bridge Golf Club (which I've seen you play as well...). I also play in tournaments out in PA, and I just played in a tournament recently at Harker's Hollow. So, I play pretty much all around the area.

I just find this place to look really cool because it gives me something to do on bad weather days during the winter. The short game area is what's going to drive me the most. Being able to work on all types of bunker, chip and pitch shots will be very cool IMO. Also, I heard the putting green is going to be huge and run about 11 or 12 on the stimp meter. Can't wait.

Winters are for putting!

I practice the putter more than anything in the winter and then hit the driving dome here. You can't see much of your shot but you can see enough of it to know when its good.

Love that dome!

Architect's is a nice club. Played there a few years ago, right after they remodeled the clubhouse.

High Bridge Hills is a tough track. It's open... being links and all... but the blind tee shots tend to kill me when I play there. And, I don't play there frequently enough to remember where holes play (like #2 and #13). I agree that winters are tough here. The ranges that stay open have heated stalls, but it's still brutally cold at times. CY

High Bridge Hills isn't that tough though, lol. It's really wide fairways, but I never putt well there. Some of the holes are really stupid as well, such as number 8, their "signature" hole. What an ugly golf hole! Shot 82 there last time I played there. That was with 4 three putts, haha.

i'll have to possibly check this out

Yeah, you should...Not far at all from where you are located.
