Hey.
I just got my new R9. Im having trouble understanding the directions in the booklet.
I have a natural fade. I am trying to reduce this, due to loss of yardage.

key point: I am a lefty. So, are the directions opposite in the booklet for me?

Should I set it on "left" or "right" to help reduce my fade?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks,

Cole

3 Wood: R9
5 Wood: R9
Irons: Callaway FTi's. steel / stiffWedges: Callaway X Forge 52, 56, 60Putter: Odyssey #1 Dual Force 2

I've got the R9 460....sets up just like the R9 fairways. I thought the two enclosed books did a really good job of explaining things.....of course they did so in a "righty" perspective.

I know that when I adjusted my from "Neutral" to "Neutral Upright" it made a large difference. I was hitting higher launching shots that started left and drew further left. I gamed it this way for one round and then went back to the "Neutral" setting.

I haven't tried the other left and right settings. Give the Neutral Upright a try and see how it works for you.

Hey.

Man - you must not be a natural lefty or you'd know by now that you have to flip EVERYTHING around :).

If you are trying to promote a draw then you want the face closed to you - regardless of how things are labeled looking from address position you want to move the toe of the club to the right in relation to the shaft. I don't know what the literature or the shaft sleeves look like, but I doubt they made different sleeves for different dexterity. I bet your book says to move to the right to promote a fade and the left for a draw - if so, it will indeed be the opposite for you.
In the bag:

909H 19° Titleist Diamana 80
Zing 2 3-PW Vokey SM48.08 @ 51° Vokey SM56.11 Unitized Leo

I also hit a slight fade, I adjusted mine to the notch right in between N and L.

Explaination:

Right - to fade the ball/open the face
Neutral - straight ball flight/square face
Neutral Upright - slight draw and higher ball flight/slightly closed, more loft
Left - Draw the ball/ closed face

REMEMBER: THERE IS A INTERMEDIATE POSITION IN BETWEEN EACH POSITION. SO YOU HAVE 7 TO CHOOSE FROM!!!
