I Guess I'm Not Getting an Adams Speedline, Then

I was at the PGA Superstore earlier today because I can't hit my current driver at all since I changed my swing and am thinking about buying a new one. I stepped into one of their simulators to test some of their demos. One of them was an Adams Speedline, which I started to get a feel for after a few swings. Getting into a groove of solid contact, I decided to make a little more aggressive swing than I had been making in the beginning. I take the swing. hear a large thud against the canvas, and notice the object in my hand is feeling much lighter than it was.

The head completely severed from the shaft, ferrule and all. I didn't dig it into the mat or anything; it just came apart upon making contact with the ball. It led to a very embarrassing exchange with the sales associate, that's for sure.

Ditto that. You can't judge the durability of a new production club by a demo.

Not to mention, I'm sure Adams would stand behind their product if it happened to a new one. For what it's worth, I had a great experience dealing with Adams when I ordered my irons to my specs and changed around the set make-up.

He should have said " The heads so aerodynamic it flys right off the shaft". haha I have one and it has the most explosive face under $200 buy it

That is some funny sh--! I was actually in GG tonight and on the repair counter was an R9 with a shaft broken right above the ferrule. Can't wait to brake my Burner.

I doubt that's a regular occurrence, or you'd probably see a lot of reports on that on the Internet. There's a pretty good chance that a few people that demoed that club before you beat it up pretty badly.

I will say this though - I hit the Speedline next to a lot of this years drivers at a demo earlier this year. It was at the bottom of the list for me. Of course, there are tons of people that have had success with it, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
