6.45 am par 4 286 yds. I drove the green the ball rolled off into the second cut little up hill lie, Eagle shot lob wedge 20 feet just wanting to get it close and it rolled in.

I dropped my club and struted around the green with my hands in the air for a couple of minutes, to bad I was by myself but at this point I just don't care. I have been on cloud nine all day , here is a picture kind of stupid I know but damb I made an eagle!

Nice shot bro, with a handicap of 99 I'm sure those shots don't come often.

As far as walking around the green with your hands in the air, I wouldn't want to play with someone who can't celebrate an eagle.

Congrats! I would be flipping out too!

That's awesome. I've had 3 total cracks at eagle but two-putted all 3 times.

I've had about 6-8 chances at eagles but missed all my putts as well.

I've had one as well. Driver, 3 wood to 5 feet and made the putt. It was quite rewarding.

It was 2 years ago though, so I've been in a drought.

Congrats on the eagle.

Picture is kind of stupid though. Who's to say you didn't just drop the ball in there, lol.

Congratulations! Eagles are relatively rare, even for a lot of accomplished golfers. A lot of people go a lifetime without one. Well done!

I remember my first, I was playing team matchplay. my teammate was a very good college player. We we playing against the course hustler (shoots 60's from the tips all the time) and a very good tournament player.

We tied with a bird on the first, they went one up with a bird on the second, we tied on the third with two birdies.

we walked on the fourth tee with them 1 up, the fourth is a par 5 of about 550 from our tees and we all hit the fairway (which we usually all miss being only 18 yards wide) and everyone layed up about 40 or so out ready to make an easy bird. I don't trust myself from those yardages so I went for it, I had 255 left. I hit a good shot but left the face a little open and hit it right in the rough about ten feet below the green, got lucky though not having any trees in the way. By this time the other team had two balls within birdie range and my partner was in the front bunker. I set up with the face in my LW wide open and took a few practice swings to feel the distance to carry the fringe well above me. I hit the shot and everybody got quiet I looked down thinking it went too far not being able to see the ball. That's when everyone yelled and my partner ran down and slapped my hand. It felt great as the other team just laughed and picked up there balls.

We tied for nine holes but that eagle felt so great.

The sixth hole on the same course is also a par 5 and I hit the green in two one day, missed my putt went up to jam it in and it lipped out hard and came back at me hitting my shoe as I tried to jump out of the way... Ouch, a double with the penalty.

    • Day 34 (14 Dec 25) - Got outside for a few moments to work on bump and runs with the 4h (again using the exaggerated weight shift reminder of the left (lead) heel). Finding that it helps keep the downswing arc extended.

    • I am currently playing a Cobra Ltdx LS 9 degree driver and Cobra Ltdx LS FW3. Both with Tensei White stock stiff shafts and original weights of 12g (heel) and 3g (toe). My miss is usually a pull fade or sometimes a slice, swing is out to in. Driver swing speed about 112 mph. Grips are stock regular. Intended change: Driver: Switching to Tensei White x-flex one inch shorter which I suppose would be 44,5? Changing heel weight to 18g. Changing grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Change hosel setting to standard draw. FW3: Changing heel weight to 16g (apparently not available in FW weights, but supposed to be something called "internal weight" a club builder can add which fits between the weight and the screw?). Change grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Changing hosel setting to standard +1. The goal is to 1) get better grip since I tend so lose grip in warm and moist conditions with the current grips and 2) mitigate the misses to start more straight with less side spin. Also considering adding the Cobra Ltdx LS FW5 instead of my old Taylormade R9 and getting 14g heel and 6g toe weights with the same grip as the others and hosel setting standard +1.   All of the above is based on conversations with ChatGPT and, as everyone knows, it can come up with pretty much whatever but I spent a few hours asking about different perspectives etc and this was the recommendation. So, my question is basically, does it make any sense?   Thanks.
