I'm sure some of you here play the AP2 irons. In my opinion, they look amazing. All the reviews I have read are good. Any thoughts and opinions?

I like mine as well. They have a higher ball flight but I've been really happy with mine.

I like them a lot... they forgive you a bit. I've been hitting lately the 690Mb and well it's a bit different the feel.

Cheers!

I don't play the AP2s, but I do play the AP1s. I like the general looks and how they look at address better on the AP1s (thiner top line, somewhat smaller head - little more "traditional"), but went with the AP1s for a little more forgiveness.

The AP1 & 2 both feel great and look great. Personally, from my limited time ABing the two lines, I didn't find a significant difference in feel between the cast AP1s vs the forged AP2s. But that's just me.

I've also found the weighting on the AP1s and AP2s to be pretty even between the heel/toe. Seems to have a flat swing line feel. Then again, I'm coming from previously hitting the DCI 962 - which were significantly heel weighted. I think I've read that the AP line for 2010 will be slighly more heel weighted then the current models.

The only criticism I have of the AP line is that they chip, scuff, etc. very easily. This seems to be a common complaint among AP owners.

I play them and like them, although the project x shafts were definitely not for me, although it appears the S300 will be the stock shaft for the new model. I hit several shots on the range with a couple of the new ones last Sunday and really liked the look and feel, enough that if I were buying now I'd buy the new ones and not get a discounted set of the old.

I didn't notice any difference as far as swinging the irons with respect to weight distribution between the new ones and mine, they flew great with an S300. Very nice irons.

I have them and really like them! I guess that's not saying much considering I'm not the best player but they have improved my game!

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
