Since begining this game in ~1994, I've never gamed a more easy to hit 3 wood than my current 3 wood....Taylor Made Burner.

These things are ridiculously easy to hit off the deck or tee.

I've tested the matching driver but I found the stock stiff shaft to be too light for me. I enjoy my current driver.

Yup....check out the Taylor Made Burners. So easy a caveman (like me) could do it.

i just got a tour edge xcg 3 wood, 15 degree aldilla stiff shaft. i have never hit a more solid club ever. i have had it for a little more than a week and it has become my favorite club. the ball flight is a rope wherever i aim it. and about 20 yards more distance

i also just bought a g15 and i love it as well. much more distance with it as well.

I have a 5W TM also. Very nice to hit. Even my mishits make it seem like I know what I am doing. Off a tee, I can easily get 230-240 with it.

I think that is what mine is....the '07 version.

The new models appear virtually identical....very simular looking shaft graphics and profiles....the head doesn't have the alignment graphic web on the top (I don't think it does...just a clean looking head) and the sole may have different grapics. It is advertised as a higher launch fairway wood. I almost bought the matching 5 wood at the same time...but I decided to game the 3 wood for a round or two first. For 5 wood distances, I simply grip down slightly and swing normally. This seems to work out just fine for me. The only thing that felt odd about the club was the factory grip.....very slender....almost like it was smaller than standard. They threw in a Tour Velvet midsize regrip for free so I was happy. Good luck.

Add another vote for Tour Edge here. I have the GeoMax driver and 3 metal in my bag and intend to keep them there. Great clubs. Good value. Lifetime warranty.

Nike Dymo2, TaylorMade Burner, Callaway Diablo, Callaway FT square version

The most forgiving...hands down the square Nikes!

if you want forgiving get a ping rapture or a tm r9. if would want a forgiving driver get the ft-9 i litterally tee'd up two golf balls right next to eachother the other day on the range and hit both of them dead strait. you want go wrong with that

i have these and they give you a nice high launch and it puts them out there with very little effort. also has a good sounds when the ball comes off the
face..

they are much cheaper if you buy the shaft and head and grips seperate and assemble the clubs yourself... p.s. i have the 3 and 5 wood
