After reading through all the talt about s@t i was thinkin about trying it,especially since my ball striking has dwindled. So my question is,Have you tried it and did it improve your ball striking??

Who will you be working with? It's not a change you want to go through alone (no swing change really is).

I was gonna try the dvd route,Along with videoing my swing to see if im doing it correctly.Im not in an area to find a good stack and tilt teacher.

The DVD's are great and I would suggest that ANYONE interested in becoming a better player get them/watch them. That said, teaching yourself to swing like the model solely that way will be difficult. My suggestion, if you are interested, would be to get the DVD's and watch them at least twice through...at that point I would happily do a video analysis for you if you are interested. PM me if you want more details. FYI - I am the owner of the S-T Certified Academy in Erie, PA and you can find our web site through the tag on my post.

David, do you think it is really doable by incorporating the DVDs and video swing analysis only? I have thought about S&T as well but I am not even close to being able to afford training for it. My swing up to now has been completely self taught and I am not displeased. I really want to progress more and believe I can do it by myself, in fact I know I can, but I also know it will take a hell of a lot more time. Just to clarify I want to know if you honestly believe it is realistically doable? If so I have some thinking to do during the "off season" coming up.

Yes I think it is very doable. That said, I can't say with certainty that without first hand instruction it would work for everyone who tried that route.

The reason I mention being very familiar with the DVD's first is that with a video analysis follow up the student would understand the terminology and have a "leg up" in that way. In a perfect world the good one on one instruction is by far the best. I just believe that, without that possibility, the DVD's and qualified video analysis are the next best thing.

you should post a video of your swing before then post videos as you work on the s&t; to show progress.

I second the suggestion to keep posting video. If nothing else a few S&T teachers read this forum (one of which I know and can direct towards your videos).

I'd love to see your stats and club distances after you start using the Stack & Tilt swing. Should be interesting.

If the whole swing switch doesn't go as you planned are you going to switch back or keep stacking a tilting?

Ping,
The vids are great !!! As a beginning Stacker, i can honestly say that at the very least posting vid will help big time. There are a couple of dedicated forums for the pattern you can also check out, pm me and i can give you the links.

I found an instructor for the pattern, I have to drive about 1 hour and 45 min to get to him, but its all worth it. Speeds up the learning curve.

I'm not understanding why anyone who is not familiar with the pattern would say if it doesnt help or work out will you go back (not that it not a valid question... but). Just the basic principal of Stack & Tilt (weight forward) cant be wrong... can it ? Look at vids of pros and see where they have their weight, as opposed to all of us hacks. Not try to start an argument, just stating a fact.

What is the stack n Tilt?

and good luck with your swing change. My swing changes like 3 or 4 times a round :)

Does anybody know a good way to find instructors who teach stack and tilt? I have been looking on the web and it is really hit or miss. I think it would be a good fit for me, and I am ready to take lessons if there is a good instructor around my area. Thanks for any help. Good luck with your swing changes!
