Hello everyone!! Another newbie from Southern California :) I actually started golf when I was a kid, ages ago LOL, but started up again over the July 4th weekend and have been playing weekly (at least) since. I have had lessons once a week since then as well. I have a great swing, I'm just not consistent with hitting the ball, which I'm working on. Its nice being in Southern California, there are plenty of inexpensive courses to play :) You're going to laugh, but I have a golf theme. Most of my stuff is either purple, pinks, or some other form of pastel. I have a pink golf bag, use pink Precept golf balls, and have the Wilson Hope set, good starter set I think. Before, when I started playing, I found this really cute set, but as it turned out, they were Junior sets and no one told me, you'd think the lady at the pro shop would have said something, but suprisingly, they weren't bad, I just needed the full ladies set LOL...Hope to meet some new people!!

Good to hear you're getting back into golf. People who played when they were young seem to improve quickly when they pick up the game again.

Always good to have more women in golf too. Not to make a generalization, but I've noticed that women seem to have more patience and alot more fun on the golf course. Reminds me to stop taking this game so seriously. Best of luck!

Thanks, yes, golf is a lot of fun, however, there are times where I get really frustrated with the sport! And its also important to look great on the course as well

That's a part of my game that needs ALOT of work!

Welcome. Seems a number of us are in the same boat. I played for several years in the early 90's and just got back in myself.

Welcome Golf_Gal,
Jealous that you are in Southern Cal ...

Chilly Colorado here ... haven't gotten to play for about a month and a half now, and haven't even been to the driving range for about a week or two now that the weather is cold

Wife & I went to San Diego for vacation last year & it was beautiful! Would much rather be out golfing than trying to keep warm!

Welcome Golf_Gal,

I must say, in terms of golf, I have nothing to complain about. There are tons of courses around, even though I'm still horrible at the game (slowly getting there!) they are inexpensive and I'm able to play and keep up with people I just don't like playing twilight, I feel that I have to keep rushing and that just messes up my game a lot!! the BF and I were in San Diego a few weeks, we played golf everyday!!!

Now I'm going to have to keep my eyes open on the course (if I ever manage to get out there again)... doesn't sound like you'd be hard to spot.

I was in Altadena this morning :) I'm around...so you may run into me!

Cool. I usually play Altadena or Eaton Canyon, but a lot less frequently than I'd like lately...
