I'm Bill, and I've been playing seriously (again) for about 3 years now. Injury forced me to lay off for almost 7 years. Been playing on and off for over 20 years.

I play mostly munis here in Tucson, AZ but do venture out on the resort courses in the summer when the snowbirds are gone and prices are more reasonable. I play every Sunday, year round, and even manage to get in some extra rounds during holidays and such. I walk, pushing a Sun Mountain 3-wheeler, even in the summer time, although last year when it got over 105 I darn near had a heat stroke. I may ride next summer when it gets the hottest.

I apologize, as I put a '10' in the handicap entry when registering when I really don't have a handicap anymore. I typically shoot in the mid to high 70s when I keep score, but I mostly don't bother with that as I play this game one shot at a time. To me, it's all about exececuting the shot at hand. What happened before and what happens after doesn't matter. To me that is...

Other hobbies include shooting, pistolsmithing, playing home machinist, and FPSs (Crysis, Far Cry 2, etc) and flight sims on the 'puter.

Hit 'em well.

Bill

Welcome Bill. I like your way of thinking about score although I will probably be getting a handicap next spring. Good to see another Flight Simmer out there. If flying commercial jets , I prefer the Mad Dog with steam gauges. Beechcraft is my choice for GA.

In FSX I mostly fly either a P51 or a Mooney, in IL2 it's a Corsair, and in Falcon 4.0 it's a F16. My favs are the military props though.

Still use FS9 here. Computer is a bit dated. I'm also a fan of the DC3. I like your choice for IL2. Nothing beats the sound of a big powerful radial. Haven't flown military stuff in a while. Maybe i should look into IL2. Equipment here includes a yoke, joystick and foot pedals.

Biggest problem with the Corsair is putting it down on a flattop :O

I use Saitek x52pro stick/throttle quadrant and pedals.

I have a iMac 24" with a upgraded video card and a 200Gb Win partition. Replace two computers with one. :)

    • Day 4 (5 May 24) - mirror work focused on “feel of weight” transfer onto lead foot.  Continued work to develop trust in lead foot being able to handle full weight pressure…
    • Ok, so I’m still confused here. Are you saying I could have used the only available Spot in the bunker even though it was 6-7 feet closer to the hole?
    • Yes. If you choose to take the ball out of the bunker instead of taking maximum available relief… it costs a stroke.
    • I got another one today....Number 17. Par 5 that has water left and right on the layup. I smacked a drive down the left side and got a little lazy on the layup and fanned my 6 iron. With 112 to a crowned green I got it to 3 feet and birdie!  Only 5 and 15 is left for this year!
    • Maybe I didn’t explain this properly. Back and front can be confusing.  There was no place in the bunker that didn’t have 2-3 inches of rain water in it, except for a small spot on the slope nearest the pin. If I had dropped there I would be moving 6-7 feet closer to the hole. Since my ball was just inside the bunker, farthest side from the hole, I dropped one club length backward, which brought me out of the bunker. I could not have hit from that deep of water. Are you saying I would have had to take a penalty stroke due to rain water?
