I might be alone here . . . although I've lost some respect for him as a man/husband, I find him more interesting this week than the otherwise perfect (albeit always pouting and often swearing) golf superman we used to know.

Honestly

I know you could care less. You wouldn't have posted your thoughts if you couldn't care less. In that case, you wouldn't have bothered forming an opinion.

Honestly I could care less about Tiger's personal life. What really stinks is the fact that I have to explain to my son why all the great athletes are scumbags.

I see it as an opportunity to teach him that there is no correlation between one's ability at sports and their worth as a person.

I agree 100%. Most athletes are the most untrustworthy people. I grew near a few Pro sports athletes and all the money did was grant them easier access to there vises.

This whole thing has gotten to me from day 1. Think of Tiger however you want, but the fact the world gets to judge your actions is extremely unfair. We have no insight into his private life, his feelings, and I'm certainty not gonna pass judgment especially for something as ridiculous as this.

He had an affair or 5, what a shocker. But it's been covered on everything from national news, 24hour news, I'm getting breaking news texts from CNN. The media drives this guy into the ground, and we all know the story they'll be redemption but he has to play their game. If he killed a person drunk, beat the shit out of his wife, shot somebody there's a story but to chastise a person for something millions of Americans do is so hypocritical it's not even funny.

Does this erase all the good Tiger does in the community, and for kids and charity? I guess it's just our media that pisses me off, infotainment.

for all you guys talking about how tiger is a ''horrible person,'' etc. you have no room to talk. you guys don't have any clue what it's like to be a rich young athlete, let alone the richest. beautiful women throwing themselves at you. and you think you can judge him? i bet most of you saying what a horrible person he is haven't gotten laid five times in your life. you guys know good and well how hard it is for any regular joe to stay faithful to his wife, that's how we are, it's a little thing called genetics. take joe and put him on the road away from his wife one week out of the month, and have hundreds of women throw themselves at him. see how faithful he really is.

It's a hard thing for sure, but that doesn't make it right. Even though my opinion of him hasn't changed, I'm still for him. Everyone makes mistakes and especially ones like these.

He is a cheater..................

Maybe he will stop being such a sour grape on the course.

Hopefully, he will let his wife go and start being single.................he could chase women with adam scott

Tiger's house is probably like China at this point: no access to the Internet at all, except in the one room Tiger and his agents can access.

I dont think so - looks like Elin is "in the driver seat now" - btw when is silly season being scheduled to end?

What do you guys think - will he get smack talk from the fans like Sergio got in NY back then (for completly different reasons of course)? How will he be able to handle it, since he isnt used to talked negatively about at all as his Stanford appearence showed.

I seem to remember something about...what was it...Ah, yes:

"Whoever among you who is without sin, let him cast the first stone."

It has now become a private tragedy, imho, something for him and his family to deal with. It will have shattered his self-image, as well as his public image. We shall see how he deals with it in the months and years to come.

I now feel sad for Tiger. His family - obviously, but now him, as well.

Just my £0.02-worth

It all makes sense now... Throwing clubs and cursing like a salior... Having that many women in your life would drive you a little nuttsssssss....

How bought Jesper Parnevik feeling like it's his fault for introducing Elin to Tiger in 2001??

Jesp...they have 2 children together, were you responsible for that also?
What a jackass, mind your own business.

Word

I love Tiger and will be a fan unless he kills someone. My take on his relationship issues is that he was a fool not to get permission. Elin would be an idiot to over react to this whole thing. It is just sex! The problem with an affair is that it disrespects one's spouse. No affair is a secret, so people have known he was "cheating" on Elin, that is the disrespect; people know what she does not know. I hope they stay together and they become more mature as a couple. (This crash event did not need to happen.) I hope Tiger learns the anti-cheat mantra, "I love my wife, I respect my wife, I am going to go look at some internet porn". PS I have been married 40 years.

for all you guys talking about how tiger is a ''horrible person,'' etc. you have no room to talk.

Plenty of room to talk here. The worst thing I've done in a few years is not come to a complete stop at a stop sign or something like that. I've not even come close to cheating on my wife.

There are a lot of people calling this a "mistake." No, sorry, not buying it. A mistake might be getting trashed one night and waking up in bed with some girl you don't know... not sleeping with three different women for 31 months or so of your 5-year marriage. No, this isn't on the order of murder or rape or anything, but Tiger plays a sport that honors integrity, and he's just been shown to have a whole lot less than we had imagined. Now again, 99% of what I care about with Tiger is his golf. But the 1% that's left is pretty trashed right now.
you guys don't have any clue what it's like to be a rich young athlete, let alone the richest.

No, but I have an idea what it's like to be married, and to be a man. The wealth is inconsequential. It may take more willpower given how much more the women will try, but isn't Tiger supposed to have more willpower than almost anyone else?

i bet most of you saying what a horrible person he is haven't gotten laid five times in your life.

Uhhh... have you?

you guys know good and well how hard it is for any regular joe to stay faithful to his wife, that's how we are, it's a little thing called genetics.

I find it quite easy, given my vows. Genetics? Seriously?

I just now realized this wasn't worthy of a response, but I hope that by responding the rest of the people who share your perverse, simpleton, excuse-making, disrespectful attitude will not bother.

I am coming late to this but I am totally unsurprised by this and all of you who buy into a famous person's public persona and forget that they are a human and a man live in a fantasy world. Hardly any of you could stand up to the onslaught of beautiful, sexy women throwing themselves at someone like Tiger. It is fantasy to marry someone like that and expect them to remain 100% faithful. I would bet Billy Graham probably got some strange at sometime in his life. Yes, it is possible that someone like Tiger could go through life without cheating but I would put those odds very, very low. Basically the way to avoid such temptation is to completely stay out of public and social situations for the rest of your life. I am positive that before this age of fame at any cost and 24/7 news cycles, and obsession with celebrity that people from the past who have been sainted as famous and strong family value men strayed just like Tiger. It was all kept private and secret. Even the prostitutes had moral codes back then so to speak.

Now everyone wants Tiger to go on Oprah and shed some tears and bring himself down from his lofty position so we can all feel better that Tiger is no better than us. No, he is better than us in many, many ways still. Some people are really angry and sad because our ideal has been shattered or we feel superior to him now. I frankly feel no different at all about him, would love to hang out with him, and would probably hook up with one of his rejects one night if I hung out with him enough times.
