I got one for xmas. it is about 8 feet long...& although it is not perfect....i think it might help to groove in a smooth stroke. I firgure it is something to do while watching TV lol

Anyone tried these....any feedback?

The link below is something similar to what I have.

You should also check out the accelerator 3 putting mat. I have it and I just love it because it has markers for 3,5 and 7 feet putts and it helps you align properly. If you get bored of the lines, you can stop placing the ball on the markers.

I have this same exact one. The problem I have is that it came boxed up and has ridges in the green because it was in the box for so long. Now I've noticed it has a right to left swing to it because of it and haven't been able to figure out how to get the wrinkles out. I even tried steam ironing it with no success.

What I just did was get a measuring tape out and drew a few straight lines parallel to the end of the green to ensure that my putter face is square to the hole. I also drew a mark on the center of that line so that I make sure I'm at center when putting. The problem I have like I said earlier is that I can't get the green smooth, so I'm not getting and honest tell on how I'm putting.

I noticed the same problem. But I put a long box on it to try to smooth it out. Hopefully that helps.

I also measured it & put out some lines on it marking where 4,5,6 & 7 feet area to be able to gauge the distance. The one I have is 7 feet long. Another thing I have noticed....I think the hole is bigger than a real golf hole :(

I picked up one on E-Bay that was 3' x 12'. I really like it. It rolled out like a rug but is thick enough to smooth the imperfections in my cellar floor. I wanted something that would have 10 ft putts or more. Info is below:

If you use is regularly you will see a difference next spring. Many years ago I got one, mine was a 9 or 10 foot one, and made a point of every day spending at least 15 minutes putting. Since then I have been deadly from that distance and in, my confidence in my putting was unbelievable.

jackson and moadhia, what is the quality of the plastic like on the putting mats? i have a buddy how has one, and it's junk. Knowing him though, i'm sure it was rather inexpensive.

I'm not sure what it is made out of....but it is about 1/8" thick or so. The ball seems to roll smooth & it seems pretty durable.

Yea my Fiance just purchased me one for Christmas. Im not a huge fan. If i want to practice my stroke i'll hit balls across the carpet. Its hard to practice a real putt on a straight away mat with no breaks. I used it for about 5 minutes and i dont like it. I told her i didnt want one but i guess she knows how much i love Golf and thought i would use it. Im lucky tho and my backyard touches a 9 hole course called Fairless Hills Golf Course. I walk over and use the practice green.

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

    • Nothing exposes low point control, and for that matter the general quality of ball striking like tight lies. Lol! I am at a crossroad. My days of playing with a super strong left hand grip are coming to an end it seems. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to maintain proper face control through impact as the club face naturally wants to turn over. The quality of strike and ball flight difference when I weaken the grip is stark. Problem is a weaker grip is at odds with my poor sore left forearm which I have been nursing for last few days after 3 days of demanding golf. As of now I will continue my 'transition' to a weaker grip with woods and hopefully my forearm will condition as I go along. Maybe someday I'll get to a normal address with irons too.
