All i want is a piece of software (or website, preferably software, though) that lets me draw lines and - maybe - measure angles. It would have to be free. Anyone know of such a thing?

P.S. I didn't know what category to put this thread in, so i stuck it in Playing Tips because it has to do with golf swings.

I like to use MS Visio to draw basic lines, angles and shapes on a picture. You can get much more advanced with Adobe Illustrator but I think it is way more complex

You can get a version of V One for free. The only thing it's missing really is side by side video. You can draw in lines, play slow motion etc.I don't think it actually measures the angles though, but I could be wrong.

Well, Visio cost money, and i've never gotten V1 to work on my computer, so for now i've been using the drawing tools in Word (actually OpenOffice) and some Paint, plus the Prt Sc button is getting a lot of use.

I used V1 a bit, but had some problems with videos not playing, so I haven't tried it much lately. I use Quicktime to view the videos. It's quite excellent since I can skip one frame at the time by using the arrows on my keyboard, increase and decrease the playback speed and easily save or export the video. If I'm doing an analysis, I pick out 5+ still photos from throughout the swing, put them in Paint and draw lines. To measure angles I put the picture into Gimp, a free program with a lot of features like Photoshop got.

I just downloaded V1 after hearing about this thread, got the basic free version but it works great, has enough features for me. Obviously it may be limited for an instructor which is why they may need the expensive version but it is pretty cool.

V one should work fine if you download the codec packs they suggest on their website.I've only had very occasional problems playing video on it.

I tried it again yesterday and it doesn't play the videos that my camera take, and it's not really worth the time to find and download a converter, so i just sorta gave up on V1.
